Mine note 7 's battery quality is quite good. Overnight reduce only 2% (i put it in airplain mode).
Maybe you should consider kill any unnecessary apps.

Not sure why

People tell you to go disable this, or take off that... it's a 900.00 flagship phone, period. The people that generally tell you that either 1. don't pay for the phone (use mommies and daddies money) and don't realize the meaning of paying for something, and getting what you pay for. OR 2. don't even own the device themselves. You should not have to turn off anything on a flagship device to essentially limp the phone. It should just work...

It's getting annoying... this is my 4th phone... and on one out of the four, I actually had great battery life. Loaded down full of apps, etc... the battery lasted quite awhile. NOW, with that being said, it still lagged. Had the notification sound loop where it sounded like a DJ remixing the sound, got hot, and had apps crash constantly. This was before AND after a master reset and several soft resets. ALSO with no apps and when I loaded my apps back on the different phones...

This phone is a failure, the QC is a failure, the experience is a failure... OR because I come from a system that just "Works" when I need it to, maybe this is just the status quo for android and samsung as a whole? It's disappointing.

Is the battery really that good???

I keep getting reviews in forums about Note 7 battery life as really exceptionally good. Phonearena is even saying that it is better than iPhone 7 plus and I'm really confused and bewildered by this. I used to have a Note 7 until I return it to wait for the replacement but my personal experience is battery drain. I would go from 100% to just 96% in less than 30 mins of standby and if I start using it with phone calls or web surfing, texting it's going to go down fast. Instead with the iPhone 7 plus and even the iPhone 6s plus, I can stay 100% even for 2 hours standby without draining and end the day with around 40%. I'm not an apple fanboy because I'm actually going back to my Note 7 replacement once it is available but I'm really questioning why are the reviews soooo far from reality. I'm supposed to have the best phone compared to iphone with regards to battery life but in reality it's not. Anyway I just hope that I will have a good Note 7 replacement as good as they reviewed in the forums.

In my experience with lots of phones in 20 years, I have always observed these facts:

all batteries behave in different ways
I have seen batteries draining till 85% really fast, then very slow till total empty

batteries draining very slowly untill 50% then quickly downwards

batteries draining quickly the first 5% then steady

So, not all batts behave the same, the only important fact is the TOTAL time it lasts, also, Lithium batteries reach their peak performance after several cycles

Also the carier you are using is very important too. IF you get a bad 4G your battery will get drained very quickly. Also ppl still don't understand that there is Exynos N7 and SD820...

Hi,

I have a note 7 and for the past couple days the battery has been abysmal. Averaging 3 hours of screen on time. Also, the phone constantly gets hot (especially outside) that it has to lower maximum brightness to keep the device from overheating. With the phone on standby, overnight with always on display OFF, I will drain 10% of the battery.

Do any other note 7 users get this? I even drained 5% typing this post.
Exynos or Snapdragon?

Bring. Back. Removable. Batteries.
I picture a little, solitary elderly gentleman with a hand written placard standing outside a government building. People understanding his complaint, but knowing as commendable his stance is, it will all be disregarded and futile.

I am with you in spirit, but it's never going to happen. It's time to move on old chap.

Haha, see, I, EYE, am fully aware of agendas, where the majority of the goat populace blindly follow along, mesmerized by the glitz and glamour, brushing aside any "coincidental", "random" inconveniences such as IRIS scanner, fixed battery, in lieu of "oooh, it's because we are now water resistant, never questioning, "hmmm, why would "they" now be making these devices with fixed battery".

No no no Siree, I STILL to this day run Windows 7, Linux, Galaxy Note 4. Not immune to the "for our own security" agenda, but fully aware of it. Never to [just] move on.

And again. Flip side. Fine. Keep the Battery locked in Bub. Don't come crying to me when your device explodes and you are unable to fly with one. Wait, what? Hmmm, unable to fly with cell phone in one's possession. Interesting.

I did say I was with you in spirit :) I just don't think it will happen. When I say time to move on, I just think the removable battery debate will just be the mootest (if such a word!) of moot points. Those that care, those that don't. The winner will be the one that an OEM will make the most money from. Right now, people buy shinier and slimmer phones. Samsung sales were dropping, they introduce such a phone and BAM! the sales increase by a significant margin. They are not going to back track on the design.

Battery Live is terrible. This morning I took my already one time exchanged Exynos Note 7 from the charger an let it lay on the table for one and a half hour. The result can be seen in the screenshot below. Terrible Android System.

In the meantime I did a full reset. However, even on Stock without one personal app and with only a few seconds SOT my Note 7 loses 7% per hour.

Note 7 safe device - max 2-3 hours of SOT and jittery screen

My note 3 gave better battery life. I have enabled battery saver, turned off AOD and disabled/uninstalled suspected battery hog apps. I only have Good for Enterprise and stock e-mail apps running in the background. No games and YT. Occasionally, I run YT music app for about an hour. I have had no issues with overheating but did notice screen jittery/shaky while scrolling. I don't understand how so many users are getting 4-6 hours of SOT with stressed conditions. I finally requested T-mobile to replace the replacement (safe) device with a hope that it's just a faulty device/battery.

I'll be lucky if I get 3 hours before my phone is dead battery life is horrible.

I don't have that many apps installed and everything is default settings.

I did disable bloatware.

Android system seems to be the worst battery hog.

Hope this is just some software bug.
