I'll be lucky if I get 3 hours before my phone is dead battery life is horrible.

I don't have that many apps installed and everything is default settings.

I did disable bloatware.

Android system seems to be the worst battery hog.

Hope this is just some software bug.
It is indeed "just some" software bug that has been introduced in great number since MM launch and is even worse in N.
Google is totally incompetent.

I keep getting reviews in forums about Note 7 battery life as really exceptionally good. Phonearena is even saying that it is better than iPhone 7 plus and I'm really confused and bewildered by this. I used to have a Note 7 until I return it to wait for the replacement but my personal experience is battery drain. I would go from 100% to just 96% in less than 30 mins of standby and if I start using it with phone calls or web surfing, texting it's going to go down fast. Instead with the iPhone 7 plus and even the iPhone 6s plus, I can stay 100% even for 2 hours standby without draining and end the day with around 40%. I'm not an apple fanboy because I'm actually going back to my Note 7 replacement once it is available but I'm really questioning why are the reviews soooo far from reality. I'm supposed to have the best phone compared to iphone with regards to battery life but in reality it's not. Anyway I just hope that I will have a good Note 7 replacement as good as they reviewed in the forums.
Phonearena has probably the most unreliable battery life test. I remembered they reviewed Nexus 9 battery life last time and put it better than iPad's. It's like saying a Toyota can run faster than a F1 car.

I seldom drained down my Note 7 to very low battery level but by proportion, I should be able to get at least 6 - 7 hrs SOT easily (or 5 hrs if I go on a full Pokemon Go trip) which is not bad to me.

Having said that, I do find the standby battery life slightly poor, not as bad as your case, but I would like to improve that if I could.

You either have defective devices or don't know how to set up.your phones or simply haven't researched whybyour phones are draining.
Theres plenty of battery stats apps to find if you have a rogue app or what wakelock is draining your battery

Don't you think there would be more than 13 pages on this thread if every one had **** battery

I actually had a similar issue with my phone and the terrible battery life. I backed everything up on Samsung cloud and did a factory reset and battery life has been awesome ever since

Ok, triggered. Learn the phone and it's settings, turn off/ disable what is not being used. Understand that every app preloaded/ downloaded wants every bit of your attention, notifications, location, phone access, disable all you can in settings. Understand that the more you use your phone, the more cleanup you need to do. Your trash can is useful until its used so much and gets full. Once clean, its useful again. Not clean phone, not useful phone, phone slow phone. Learn about apps that disable bloatware. Google: bloatware, if unsure what bloatware is. The note 7 is a tool, if the tool isnt working good, learn to use it better, because you are doing it wrong.
