Some L720 roms work. I had installed a rom ....... can't remember the name of it. Started with the letter V. But yeah it was made for L720. All the roms we are installing are. There are no roms for the L720T. But I did a odin back to stock NFA and took all the updates and I was on nc6. My play store wasn't working so I nandroid back to NFA 4.4.2. Say all that to say look at how my phone is setup now. Don't know how or why it did that but all works fine.

Build number and modem are two different builds

From what I understand, I can't install roms that were made for a 720 because then it's possible I wouldn't have spark or could possibly brick my phone. I realize most roms are not compatible with the 720t because they are built for the 720 but I haven't found a thread showing if nea is for the 720 or 720t or what other firmware versions were made for the 720t or if I can use the nc6 modem that Is stock on my phone and install a nea based rom and it not brick my phone. Sorry I really have been reading and the answer might be right in front of me and if there's a specific thread you recommend me reading then I would take that advise too. Thanks

You cannot use 720 modems for 720T, period. Spark is LTE in steroids so if your phone can do Triband you will reach the speeds even with 720 rom but you will not see the spark spinning sun. What you lose with 720 ROM is the WiFi calling.
Great ROM that I'm using now is the C-Rom V7.

Okay thanks for the response. I'm currently running Negalite Wondex 4.4.2 rom with no issues at all. C-Rom works great for the 720t as well but I tried installing the Super S4 rom and i didn't get any service at all. My signal bars had a red X thru them. Tried re downloading and installing again but i got the same problem. Weird that one 4.4.2 rom meant for the 720 will work on the 720t but another wont..

What tw rom that has a lot of gs5 features in it and is updated still that works for the L720T? ? Thanks, also what about a custom kernel? I'm rooted and still stock as I'm scared to jack my phone up. Would rather have stock rooted then a bunch of non working features.

I know nothing of stock and loathe tw... Tried every aosp rom on xda and been rocking sokp exclusivly... However it breaks surfing while talking.. I dont use any samsung apps so i dont knoe if they would work or not if u backed them up. Really overall you gain more features leaving tw but it depends on how you use your phone... What features are mandatory for you?

Odin that recovery... Download latest supersu flashable zip... Flash supersu in recovery.. Profit... Also can then install roms kernels etc if desired... Recovery voids warrenty
hmm, I'm ODINing the recovery and it completes. I pull the battery, then 3 finger boot for recovery, when I see "Booting Recovery" there is a security message that I can quite make out, then it reboots into Android.

I'm having trouble getting ADB working to try reboot recovery and Terminal Emulator seems to do nothing right now.

Make sure you're releasing all the buttons as soon as you see the blue rebooting recovery pop up

Its only two buttons not three... Vol up and power.. When u see txt that says booting recovery release power.. Continue to hold vol up untill you see recovery splash screen.. I had that same prob alot at first

The only Rom I get to work on 720T is C-Rom 7.1 and that has some issues where it says digital roaming sometimes. It didnt seem to be as good a connection for LTE as stock rom and it dropped to 3G more often.

I had Sacs V3 rom working good with all working stable but then the tethering/hotspot would just stop working for no reason. I was using ktoonez kernel. If it wasnt for that I would have left that rom on. Still Im happy with C-rom as it has nice eye candy.

Is there any other custom rom that works with 720T that is "fully" stable? I need wifi hotspot working.

No because our phone sucks. Its the spark that you notice the drop on. Because there isn't any development for the T but regular 720 roms work, just lose spark and it says digital roaming. Next time around I'm getting a nexus and being done with all these proprietary bootloaders and different variants. And I'm sick of the connections issues I have no matter the ROM.

I have the 720t spark version and most roms work for my phone. I'm currently running SuperS4. The spark feature is still there on most roms but the Spark icon is just missing since the rom was not developed with the spark icon in mind. Although the newest SuperS4 does have the spark icon.
