Tested Roms on SPH-L720T

Hopefully somebody can clear this up for me so I can get to my flashing ways. I just picked up my L720T today, came from an S3. As long as I keep the stock modem, I can flash any L720 ROM and still get spark speeds in a Spark market, but will lose the notification, correct? I honestly don't see any reason why I wouldn't. I've really wanted to mess around with AOSP and AOKP roms but ran into a ton of roaming issues on the S3. There's a lot of things pushing me towards the S4, and I really want to keep it. So, am I correct, or have I been misinformed?

Is anyone having problems losing data connection on beanstalk? It keeps going out and I can't get non wifi data back. So annoying! I already wiped and reflashed once and really don't want to have to keep doing it. Heeeeelp

I could never get data working correctly on beanstalk... candyKat worked pretty well. I have not been able to test spark (not in my area)

You can't get here from there...
Do aosp roms support sprint hd voice?
I don't know for sure, but I'd be quite suprised to see an AOSP ROM support a vendor/proprietary service like that. Though I do remember on my EVO that some AOSP ROMs had to use compiled binarys taken from the stock firmware to have certain things work properly. Think that was for the WiFI drivers...

And with any AOSP ROM I tried on either EVO, voice quality was always worse than a mod'ed ROM based on a stock HTC ROM.

Has anyone used rom toolbox pro or rom manager? Id like to test out other roms and not have to completely flash them, just to test them to see if they work before fully flashing. I heard that you can do this with rom manager, but can you also do it with rom toolbox pro?

I got Hyperdrive from the Verizon group on Xda to run on my phone and everything is working but some menus are greyed out and I had to add my own apn to make the 4G and 3g work but besides that it's great with all mods and etc

Is there a way to update the prl on cm11? My data connection is fizzing out right now. Really don't want to have to reflash if I don't have to

I've used CyanogenMod ROMs on my EVOs since 2010, they have not had, and DO NOT have the ability to update PRLs.

You can not do this. Android ROMs have no "Live CD" mode. What ROM Manager does is download the ROM for you and then reboot and run an OpenRecovery script to install the ROM, IIRC. You should be asking these questions in the thread for the app(s), anyway, as this is an S4 thread...

Oops lol I figured since I am on the 720T to get more specific answers by posting here. It seems my data has come back spontaneously so may not have to flash. No idea why it goes out occasionally
