Tether to PS3

I'm wanting to tether my 3g to my ps3, but I'm having problems. The ps3 doesn't register ad hoc that barnacle uses so I can't connect that way, so I restored my GB ROM, and it can connect to that but for some reason that ROM drops 3g connection ever few minutes. Does anyone know of another way of can tether to ps3?
