Tethering with the 14-4 update?

The tethering used to work with my provider but now it just says "Error" and turns off right away. I didn't try it after the 14-4 update, so I was wondering if anyone had the same experience or it is something new (updated the SuperSU too at the same time).

Try editing your build.prop by adding this line at the end of the file: "net.tethering.noprovisioning=true". It has worked for me every time I run into this issue. Be sure to reboot after editing for it to work.

With the previous provider (CricketWireless) I needed that line because the tethering was saying something like "your provider doesn't allow thethering on his plan".
My present provider didn't used to check that, and even so, now it just says "error".
I even added that line, no change.
I am guessing it's a different issue altogether, this sucks.

Re-flashed the 14-4 firmware (preserving the apps), rooted again. Problem solved.
