For the Australian market, it would be great if there was a screen with the soft buttons on the RIGHT hand side, and the rest of the UI tweaked to be used from the right hand side.

Also, some frames while they look like they fit LHD and RHD the same, do not. One example is the Subaru Outback (GEN 3) - I am yet to find a frame that fits just right for RHD. Have to cut bits of plastic off and join it together with electrical tape :D

I connected my bluetooth mobile phone to the CC3 and downloaded my phone book. Everything good. Yesterday I connected my wife's cell phone to CC3 and on my google profile she deleted all my address book. Fortunately I found it in the trash and I was able to restore it but this thing is very dangerous. If I make someone connect to the bluetooth of the CC3, for example to listen to their music, it deletes my entire address book from my google profile. Is this normal? I'm okay with deleting it from CC3 and when I reconnect I redeem the phone book but deleting them from my Google profile is absurd.
Yes I've seen this for myself too Maratoneta.
I've disabled auto-sync so that when my wife connects her phone, the android system doesn't get confused and delete my data.
i did it through chrome settings and also through google maps and disabled both syncs for good measure.

See how it goes

Sorry you feel this way Marchnz, I understand alot of people had issues with aliexpress

Buyer beware: I couldn't find an ABN for this reseller. They may not even be based in Australia.

I didn't say Aliexpress, I say 'teyes Australia' support will be limited to hardware returns. You'll never get the Chinese manufacturer to fix problems with the software.

After all, you are a reseller and no different to any other reseller of these [grey box] Android Headunits.

I would encourage you to prove me wrong. Warranty return process is easy, resolving coding issues is likely impossible for you as a reseller, I'd suggest being upfront about support and bugs in these units.

I'd like to remind anyone thinking otherwise that JOYING sell the same units, with the same bugs, and make the same baseless promises of support.

I have not had a problem with google login, please contact me in PM to discuss
Hah, your 04 Feb 2021 system update was published as a partial fix. For some people that update fixes nothing.
Common issue is: you ban device from your Google account, then unban (oops, it was a misclick) and it is not possible to login into Google account again. Login screen appears for about 1,5-2,5 second and dissapears.

I encourage you to contact via pm as I can't answer a couple of your questions in regards to warranty and "reseller" without violating the xda boards terms and conditions.

You can also contact TEYES Australia via the number on the website which connects you to +61 (Australia).

In regards to software related issues, I did mention I believe, that these are forwarded to the engineers.

Thank you

amw2320 submitted some constructive feedback in regards to the issue you mention. Have you tried the advice amw2320 gave?

If your talking about the recent issue where it is impossible to login to a google account, someone from the joying forums found a complex but working fix. It saved me yesterday, so I can attest it works. Given Joying and Teyes are both the same FYT base units, the same fix probably works on Teyes. Note this requires you to re-flash firmware.

Fix originally found in Joying forums (here).
  1. Download firmware and place on flash drive
  2. Go into app settings and wipe storage for Google Play Services
  3. Immediately plug in firmware USB and let it reinstall
  4. Magically works again after reboot
It works as a workaround solution. Chinese engineer proposed another system update will be published in several days.
04 Feb 2021 system update package was silently updated at 26 Feb 2021 with no effect.

I doubt it. All of the information is public domain and nothing to do with XDA. I didnt ask any questions
I've spoken to the engineers earlier today. They are very aware of the problem and are working on it.
Currently if you have installed the latest firmware and have this issue, please be patient.

Do you have a teyes unit ?

Sure they're "working on it".

There were no questions put to you.

You're not an Australian registered business either according to ABN.

Claiming voiding XDA terms is nonsense.

what you are saying is false. we are in the process of moving from ABN to ACN that is why we are not displaying ABN. Simply claiming according to ABN means nothing.

in regards to XDA policy and the discussions I had with admin, they differ from your comments. So in the interests in comforming to XDA policy, anything of that nature will be discussed privately.

TEYES pride themselves on their products and yes they are working on it.

Again you are more than welcome to contact our Australian number available on the website.

Until then please keep your comments in a positive and constructive manner in which this thread was created and intended for.

Thank you

What nonsense - "XDA rules", unless you're trying to actively sell here, you're not breaking any rules discussing the legitimacy of your claimed Australian business and the support.

So far you've evaded all of my statements, that's what your intention is.

Still, hopeful that you'll prove all wrong in terms of resolving bugs, and true support, but anyone that's been involved in these Android head units here knows that real support won't happen, apart from offering the odd update or hardware replacement.

After all you're selling OEM "FYT" units, the same that JOYING branded units are.

Hello this is not my number, but all good.

I wouldn't call it a problem, at the moment you just have to open your preferred navigation app.

however jf you want it as a selection on the main screen, TEYES may optimize all NAVI app in the new firmware, but it will take some time.

WAZE does not make picture-in-picture adaptation so cannot do.
Thats false, you just need to add the package name of your preferred navigation app to the NaviFilter file in the AllAppUpdate.bin file. Teyes does nothing special to "optimize" navigation apps for firmware. Do not believe that lie.

    Hi TEYESAUSTRALIA,

Thanks for all your help recently in solving my issue with the CC3. I appreciate the time and effort you put in to fix my problem and I am glad you are here supporting us. I hope other people appreciate that it is not easy solving everyone's problem instantly. Again thank you and keep going.

I provided a way to add more Navi apps, and it's the truth. These are all the package ids that are allowed to be selected as a navigation app for the home screen widget.
    dfsd.png

Also, theres another navigation configuration file saved inside ms.apk under assets/property/navi_app.txt.

Initially, I had my doubts about you thinking you were here only to peddle your products. After receiving the admin's blessing, i decided to look past that and had a request for you and your "engineers", but you conveniently overlooked/ignored it since it doesnt either convenience Teyes to provide source code, or they simply can't because they don't have it, they just slap their logo on it and resell it. Now you're making it seem like there's some secret sauce that Teyes has in order to get your preferred navigation app to show up as an option when it simply is not true. I've seen the code, and it's a generic android picture in picture window.

Hi, Waze will work but you need to open it full screen first, and then back to home screen. There is a way to add whatever app you want in the Navi window, a patch can be found on the 4PDA website.
That's great constructive feedback dreamvictim, that's one of the big reasons this thread was created.

I personally won't recommend 3rd party hacks as I prefer vendor solutions for turn key (long term benefits). But when users here help each other out I can just refer to that on this thread.

    Thank you again!

I was talking about optimization of the NAVI options so more can be added. Don't go around calling people liars

He didnt. He challenged your statement and showed categorically what you claimed was incorrect.

Clearly you didn't like the factual statement he made, with evidence, so instead you resorted to ad hominem.

Hello all, TEYES Australia is now online. The audience is not just Australia but a more western audience.

XDA members are thorough in their questions and suggestions. Any value adding advice for the site would be greatly appreciated.

We are working on expanding the accessory range - what do you think adds value?

    Thank you all!

Can we have an admin corroborate if this is true? We don't need the details of what was talked about, just whether the above is true. Also, I found a picture of the Teyes engineering team discussing all mentioned software issues.

The OP had a discussion with us and it was decided that he will not be permitted to sell here but offer technical support only. So anything connected to prices, comparisons with other units/manufacturers etc will be outside the understanding.

Guys, why don't we take him at face value and see whether he is offering support or not? I agree that the reputation of resellers has taken a beating but why don't we give him a chance? Even if he is able to resolve some issues of atleast some users, his being on XDA would be justified.

I hope you all understand that it was in the interest of the users that it was decided to permit him to operate here.

    Hi,
Interesting. I believe these units are FYT OEM'ed units, which joying also resell.

Correct. Just like also Navifly, Kingbeats, Zhan (some) and a few others, includng some other new Russian resellers.
