Has anyone got a ps4 or ps5 controller working on the Teyes cc3? Ps remote loads fine, but ps5 plugged in says not compatible and ps4 doesn't seem to do anything.
I have seen videos of it apparently working..

Any hints appreciated!!

I am very disappointed with teyes service, my teyes headunit has stopped at the logo even though it has not been a year of use, I have contacted a lot of customer service, but to no avail, so I will not buy teyes products for the second time
As mentioned, you must contact your seller in order to organise a replacement since you mention it is still under warranty. In your case it will be via aliexpress

I've recently installed the VW universal CC3 to my VW T5 which has been great, however I've tried to remove the head unit to wire in a new amp and am struggling to get the head unit out. Any tips as it feels like I'm going to break something by pulling too hard when trying...
Thanks
start pulling the frame on the bottom left or right, you need to be firm but not pull too hard or you will break the clips

Clients so far have been instructed to modify config.txt file in the firmware and changing the line bluetooth=1 to bluetooth=0 and reinstalling the firmware.

Hi
as can be seen in the supplied documents, pin G3 must be connected to ACC +12 volts. ACC means ignition key in position 1, so you have to find a source that only has +12 volts in position 1.
0= Lock, 1= ACC (Accessories on), 2= On, 3=Start (Ignition)

good luck

Damn... this drive me insane. I purchased 2 teyes cc3 units, and i cant manage to make them work...

I made all the connections, and when i press the power button from car... unit is dead.

But when i disconnect the 20 pin connector from canbox , screen turns on.

Is a bad canbox? I need the 16 pin connector only?

Hi.
Does anyone here install their CC3 in Mazda 6 III G Skyactiv 2017 + GL?
I am already in a talk with Dan and I appreciate his support!
The Problem is been told they don't do trim for the right-hand side -only left so it must be modified and it's extremely hard to check if it's possible to dismount the Top Trim and somehow install it on the right-hand side Uk version stock OEM of the Trim without physically have it with you.
My Previous Android Hu was from Belsee and i have to say it was full of CRAP, full of bugs and errors.
I don't wanna jump again into the same mud!

The green square problem is a bug in the new firmware.
Not sure about the red square problem. I thought there was a setting in older firmware for this. (edit) Old firmware set in general - back-light control.

Problem is you cannot roll back to previous software so any bugs like this, we as users get stuck with. Just another bad decision by Teyes to lock down their firmware and not give a stuff about their users.
In settings, the button backlight on my unit had reverted to "time based" instead of linked to headlight control. Changed this and that issue was fixed. Had not noticed this at first.

EDIT: SOLVED. See my other post! The issue was the accesory wire was plugged into the wrong connector box from factory. orange wire with 2 pins. There is an identical but not connectedcable on the correct box.

Hello everyone! I just got my Teyes CC3 for my 2008 audi A3 and tried installing it. For some reason it will not power on. I have connected all the cables but nothing. Anyone got any suggestions as to why?

It was a dark when I connected all things so I will try again with reseating the power but that is all I can think of. There are a few cables (a dual pin orange wire from the CANBUS decoder) that is not able to be connected.

@TEYESAustralia Hello, would you be able to help me with the following.

I have tried again today and it seems the unit IS getting power. I can tell this in 2 ways. The optical audio port on the back lights up when I connect the power or turn on accessory power and 2. I used a multimeter and checked the power of the harness, CANBUS and at the fuse. All are getting 12.4 V with the exception being the fuse at 8.4V.

The buttons also do not give any light what so ever.

There is a second issue. The frame for my car does not fit. See the included pictures. It might seem that it will fit but that would require putting very strong pressure on 2 of the clips (top ones) and also probably lead to the impossibility of removing it.

Could you help me with this?

My purchase was originally done via teyes website and I am a customer in the Netherlands.

Why wold you buy from an AUS reseller and not Teyes directly.
You now have to go through a process we're he has to convey to Teyes your problem with his interpretation and all that is going to be lost in that.
Good luck.

Hi! Apologies I probably explained it wrong. I purchsed it from the official Teyes website but I just thought it would be Teyes Australia.

Teyes Australia can only support purchases made through the Australian site (they are separate businesses).

Have you confirmed the ACC wire is connected? You can have 12V to the head unit but it needs the ACC (Ignition) wire connected to trigger the unit to turn on when the car is turned on.
The ACC wire is usually red.

Hmm very interesting. I have not. And how would I know which wire this is? and where does it connect to? This might indeed be the issue.

On the 16 pin power connector that connects to the head unit pin A7 is the ACC wire.

Check your cars wiring and see if your cars ACC (ignition) wire is connected to the head unit ACC wire.

This has been posted about so many times.

Sellers sell with poor quality control and buyers self install, get into trouble then quick to post.

If unable to make basic checks, suggest consulting reputable local installer.

Ok so UPDATE AND SOLVED

This is good to know for all people who buy the CC3 for the Audi A3 8p. Thank you you to those who helped. The issue was as following. On the main cable harnass you get there are 2 boxes that lead to a. the CANBUS box conector and b. the main power/connector that goes into the G slot on the diagram.

The harnass for the A3 8p has 2!!!! boxes where it begins. A " quadlock" that will fit on the 8p" and a different one that will NOT fit. I have included a picture of the quadlock.

Now it seems that from factor they connect the ACCESORY wire, which in my case was orange (look up the diagram supplies witht he unit to see which cable it should be), to the connection box that will NOT FIT. So you have an emty box like connector that has many wires on of which was orange with a 2 pin connector. There is an IDENTICAL but loose wire with 2 pins on the quadlock connector. You need to UNPLUG the accesory cable from that wrong harnass and connect it to the wire that runs to the quadlock connector. That will make the unit turn on and work.

The main issue I see is that there is no manual or video showing the installation into an A3 so that makes this an issue. I will see if I can add a picture of the wires to this post soon. But I hope this will help many a person who has this issue.

Big thank you to all who helped @j0hn83 and @WV1

dont worry about that troll snipermakedonski, we are official distributors for teyes also and there are many, however you will appreciate the great warranty, support and communication that you just cant get from any other distributor.
you have access to the technical support team here just need to fill in the form, you dont need to have to sift through the nasty comments, misinformation and disinformation on the internet

The OP had a discussion with us and it was decided that he will not be permitted to sell here but offer technical support only. So anything connected to prices, comparisons with other units/manufacturers etc will be outside the understanding.

Guys, why don't we take him at face value and see whether he is offering support or not? I agree that the reputation of resellers has taken a beating but why don't we give him a chance? Even if he is able to resolve some issues of atleast some users, his being on XDA would be justified.

I hope you all understand that it was in the interest of the users that it was decided to permit him to operate here.

Can we have an admin corroborate if this is true? We don't need the details of what was talked about, just whether the above is true. Also, I found a picture of the Teyes engineering team discussing all mentioned software issues.

    {Mod edit: Quoted post has been deleted}

I'm an Australian buyer who has just purchased and received a CC3 through Teyes Australia. I sent Dan from Teyes Australia numerous emails with questions and he always answered within hours. I never expected that he would stock in Australia the thousands of possible wiring and facia kits. His contact details and phone number are all over the Teyes Aus website.

One of the main concerns I had was the facia for my 2017 Kia Soul. There are two available and the one for the Australian spec Soul showed two extra cutouts that I didn't need. He was straight onto the supplier/warehouse in China to check the stock and had a photo of my facia back that very evening. It was perfect.

There are two possible radios in the series 2 Soul and two possible wiring plugs. The kit was delivered with both possible plugs which made basic install really easy.

I am going to chase Dan up with a couple of improvement requests. I hope that with his contacts back in China that he might be able to get a result.
    - the ability to export video files from the dashcam DVR to the hard drive or a USB stick
    - how do I get Australian radio icons added to the radio unit. It appears to be based on gps coordinates. Do I specify Sydney NSW, or my specific outer suburb location. ?

My overall impression of Dan from Teyes is 5 out of 5. The local logistics company they use only gets a 2 out of 5. It sat in limbo in Australia for nearly 2 weeks before being delivered. Their website said they attempted delivery once but I was home all day and they didn't. When it finally turned up it was in a small sedan hatch packed to the roof with boxes. Not at all professional.

My thoughts on the CC3 ? It is excellent. It looks fantastic in my Soul and a vast improvement. Everything works well. I modified the wiring to use my existing 6 volt rear view camera but the resolution looks pretty [email protected] on the high res screen. My next project might be to retrofit the new camera to the existing moulding in the rear hatch.
