Looking at the CC3-2K pinout is there any reason we shouldn't be powering the reverse camera from the dedicated Socket F Pin 7? This pin power output is also configurable from within the headunit settings.
Powering from a CANBUS ACC is not a suitable option(as it is only provides a low power signal output)

I'm wondering the same. I'm getting a bit of static, its working ok but it flickers. Might not be enough volts?

Also reverse tracking which my kia supports is not working which is real annoying. Not sure how to get past that.

I'm currently using socket F pin 7 +12v (negative is provided through the RCA plug) to power the standard TEYES AHD 1080p rear view camera with no problems but i'm reluctant to recommend it incase theres a reason we shouldn't.
I'm assuming its a sufficiently regulated/filtered 12v output unlike the CANbus adapter ACC signal wire.

Theres a "Reverse Power Supply" switch in Factory settings that toggles 12v always on/reverse only on pin F7 so its clearly intended to be used by whoever manufactures these headunits but i'd like to hear what TEYES Australia thinks about it as thats who i purchased it from.

Reverse tracking lines are provided by the vehicles computer via the CAN bus adapter which is configured:
-In TEYES app install MS.apk, Update.apk US.apk, Canbus.apk
-Then go to Headunits "Settings>Car Model>Enter Canbus" & select your correct CAN Bus & car adapter settings.
Find the name of your CANbus adapter manufacturer on the box itself(hopefully, mine is HIWORLD)

your camera could possibly be drawing too much power from your vehicle CANbus adapter ACC line to handle causing it to malfunction/fail, it was never intended for directly powering accessories only signalling on/off to the head unit ACC line by itself

Thanks neiliewheeliebin,

I fixed the camera static, I saw on another post I had neg going into negative of rear reverse light. Once I disconnected that static has gone.

My Canbus is working for steering controls even front/rear radar sensors.
I've tried different Kia models in Canbus settings, no luck, unfortunately.

Do you think I should hook up the 12v line at the rear where the camera is located and disconnect it from headunits ACC line? Somehow I think its a canbus setting I'm missing. But Teyes gives us limited options to adjust. I've seen other headunits have app adjust many canbus settings.

Even with the camera disconnected the lines should should show up when in reverse, have you checked Factory Settings>Original Car Agreement>Reverse Parking Line is enabled? You should also have a "Vehicle Settings" app available from the app draw also if everything is detected properly

What does the seller suggest when contacted for support and what has been tried?

Hello!
I would like to interest about VOLVO S60 (2000-2010) CANBUS profiles. Unfortunately, there's no CANBUS options for my car in the menu.
I have a canbus decoder (from AliExpress) what is working fine with my Teyes CC2P (factory steering wheel radio control), but the reversing lines aren't turning when I'm parking.
I assume Teyes need to add CANBUS profile for my vehicle. Do they do request like that?

I have diagnostic tool for VOLVOs, maybe I can mine some CANBUS data from my car if it's needed.

No unfortunately not. The manufacturer of the canbus box needs to support it and that info actually needs send over the canbus.

My cars OEM radio shows dynamic reverse guidelines but they are not sent over canbus so I am unable to have guidelines on my aftermarket stereo.

You can buy reverse cameras with their own dynamic reverse guidelines built in but i don't know how good they are quality wise. Reviews on Supercheap Auto seem ok

Hello T'eyes! I recently bought a CC3 2k, 4/64 unit, along with the Teyes AR DVR dash cam. Quite often the DVR application crashes, and playing movies in replay mode is almost impossible - they open very hard or do not open at all. The last time I tried to play a saved movie, the unit froze completely, the screen went black. I am using a new card, class 10, and I have nothing connected to the camera's USB. No response from T'eyes support. Thank you.

Hey all, I am looking at getting the 3gb 32gb CC3 2k. Is 3gb RAM sufficient for basic use of carplay, youtube, and spotify? I don't plan on going heavy with multiple apps running.

My opinion, yes. I have a 2gb unit, and while not silky smooth like my phone, it exceeded my expectations and is faster than units with old versions of android from back when 2gb was the standard/max i.e kitkat etc.

Thanks lou,

I ordered mine through the AUS website on Friday, still waiting for it to be fulfilled... Hopefully it doesn't take too too long.

Another question, the CC3 for the Mazda CX-5 has two different photos that contradict the expected 'look'. See photos here, does anyone know which one is accurate? The top photo has the screen stretching over the dash while the bottom photo is nestled flush below the dash.

Or is it this?

Looks like different year dashes (the bezel around lower vent is diff.....so probably depends on how the current console sits

They sell both a 9" and a 10.2" screen for the CX-5.
On the Teyes.uk page they are separate listings with different prices.
Just make sure you buy the correct size for what you want it to look like.

9"
10.2"

hey everyone I just installed CC3 2K in my Tucson 2017 and I have some questions, I will be grateful if anyone can answer them.
1- youtube only play videos in 1080p even though the screen supports 2k
2- the developer option has a password does anyone know what it is.
3- the time on the top right corner is not correct even though I had it changed from settings.
4- can use google assistant instead of Teyes voice command ?
5- can I change the screen scale? because 2K scaling is way too small for me to see and read
6- do I have to reset every time an update come out as per Teyes Support suggestion?
7- can I keep Teyes launcher but change or add widgets and icons

Thanks

I had blotchy DVR video and playback.
Enable Teyes on line and there’s a DVR update you can download. That resolved my issues.

I bought a TEYES CC2 (UIS7862A) for my Renault Clio 4 and so far there are many reasons to be disappointed. This is the top 3:

    1. Podcasts don't pause when the navigation is speaking. AntennaPod and Google Maps usually play well together, so my assumption is that T'eyes is interrupting the usual behavior to force audio ducking. This is really bad. :/

    2. The two parts of the shell do not fit together. This means that there is a very wide gap on the left side that does not close. How can you sell this without warning?

    3. Many modifications here seem to explicitly exclude T'eyes.

Especially the first point annoys me *every single time* I am driving with navigation. Can you help me?

The OP had a discussion with us and it was decided that he will not be permitted to sell here but offer technical support only. So anything connected to prices, comparisons with other units/manufacturers etc will be outside the understanding.

Guys, why don't we take him at face value and see whether he is offering support or not? I agree that the reputation of resellers has taken a beating but why don't we give him a chance? Even if he is able to resolve some issues of atleast some users, his being on XDA would be justified.

I hope you all understand that it was in the interest of the users that it was decided to permit him to operate here.

Can we have an admin corroborate if this is true? We don't need the details of what was talked about, just whether the above is true. Also, I found a picture of the Teyes engineering team discussing all mentioned software issues.

    {Mod edit: Quoted post has been deleted}

I'm an Australian buyer who has just purchased and received a CC3 through Teyes Australia. I sent Dan from Teyes Australia numerous emails with questions and he always answered within hours. I never expected that he would stock in Australia the thousands of possible wiring and facia kits. His contact details and phone number are all over the Teyes Aus website.

One of the main concerns I had was the facia for my 2017 Kia Soul. There are two available and the one for the Australian spec Soul showed two extra cutouts that I didn't need. He was straight onto the supplier/warehouse in China to check the stock and had a photo of my facia back that very evening. It was perfect.

There are two possible radios in the series 2 Soul and two possible wiring plugs. The kit was delivered with both possible plugs which made basic install really easy.

I am going to chase Dan up with a couple of improvement requests. I hope that with his contacts back in China that he might be able to get a result.
    - the ability to export video files from the dashcam DVR to the hard drive or a USB stick
    - how do I get Australian radio icons added to the radio unit. It appears to be based on gps coordinates. Do I specify Sydney NSW, or my specific outer suburb location. ?

My overall impression of Dan from Teyes is 5 out of 5. The local logistics company they use only gets a 2 out of 5. It sat in limbo in Australia for nearly 2 weeks before being delivered. Their website said they attempted delivery once but I was home all day and they didn't. When it finally turned up it was in a small sedan hatch packed to the roof with boxes. Not at all professional.

My thoughts on the CC3 ? It is excellent. It looks fantastic in my Soul and a vast improvement. Everything works well. I modified the wiring to use my existing 6 volt rear view camera but the resolution looks pretty sh@t on the high res screen. My next project might be to retrofit the new camera to the existing moulding in the rear hatch.
