I think I've read every post on here and couldn't find an answer, so if it's out there, please just link me :)

I have a CC3 and I'd like to change the following:

1. The temperature in the top bar is always shown in Celsius regardless of changing it in settings, I want it in Fahrenheit. Is that just broken?

2. The date in the top bar is in another format (DD/MM). I want it in MM/DD - is that possible?

Thanks if anyone can point me in the right direction!

What did the seller suggest when contacted for support?

What options have been tried and tested? Which posts?

Where else have you looked or consulted for problem solving?

See post #152

Thanks for this.

This was the only reference I previously found in this thread and I tried the toggle shown in this video a few times and it is always in Celsius. In fact, if you watch the video, when it's toggled there it the temperature doesn't actually change in the status bar :(

I haven't found any post or comment that says if there's some way of switching the date format from DD-MM to MM-DD though and it's not shown anywhere in that video.

Any other Americans out there that have this head unit and have solved this mystery?

I think the problem is fixed with one of the latest CC3 updates.

hi. I wanted to ask why my radio has the ability to control the central speaker but there are only 4 audio outputs, 2 front and 2 rear. i was wondering why my car dashboard in the center a the 5 speaker and i wanted to connect it to the right audio output without having to take the audio output from one of the 4 speaker. perhaps in the part where there are RCA and USB connectors is the PIN for the central speaker output? hope someone knows the answer. Thanks so much

Post the solution, a link to a private Facebook group doesn't help XDA members. Posts reported.
This is the post , links are not so relevant as any normal mic replacement will do the trick i think.

*Mic Fix*

Less is more , cc3 , calls are a nightmare for the other party.

Desoldered internal mic didn't help , replaced the Teyes horrible mic and solved !

Recorded the mics and sharing what was bought and records in the comments.

I don't think the desolder is necessary, just replace that stupid thing.

But you desoldered the internal mic before swapping the external mic so you have no idea if desoldering made it better.
The answer is, of course it made it better.

Changing the external mic provided by Teyes isn't going to completely cure audio issues because the internal mic is still enabled and interfering. There is no way to disable it via software.

I tried half a dozen mic's and the audio was always rubbish because the internal mic was always on.

So you made what i couldn't :) , so desolder/disalbe pins/even try blocking the mic hole...

In FACTORY setting (I think) there's an option where you can start with your last used app ORRRRR the main theme app) give it a try and see if it helps / kills the recently used app after a boot /wake up.

Not sure if you've sorted this yet, but I had the same GPS problem. I read somewhere that the 4G phone antenna can cause problems if too close to the GPS antenna. I moved mine as far away as possible and now GPS works fine.
I did, bought a new gps receiver and now works great. Conclusion, gps that came with it was duff or just so cheap it wasn’t up to the job. Thanks for following up.

    Hello!

How do I rollback the firmware?
Use link in my post above to download previous version. Use USB firmware upgrade method.
Would be good if you shared reason as requested for not liking latest firmware. It is a sharing forum after all and your experience may help others.

Hi WV1! Thank you for your answer.

Actually, I was wanting to rollback to the 15.01.2022 firmware, because it was the most stable version that ran on my CC3 multimedia.

The history was as follows. After I upgraded to the 20.10.2022 firmware, my problems started. Waze stopped working properly (couldn't select a destination when typing an address in the search bar), the multimedia would often restart by itself, and when it did, it would load the notification screen for I don't know why.

Hoping to solve the problems, I waited for the next update. When the 06.01.2023 version came out, I installed it, but the problems got worse. In Waze, although they solved the previous problem, it started to close by itself. A new defect that appeared was that, randomly and without any action from me, the multimedia opens the top bar of notifications, screen brightness, opens applications (Waze is one of them) and crashes, i.e., it started to have a life of its own. Also, the previous problems (restarting multimedia by itself frequently and loading the notification window after a restart) are still there.

For this reason, I believe that returning to the 15.01.2022 version should solve the problem. I even have this version already saved on my computer, but my question is whether I can do the installation in the standard way (saving the firmware on the USB stick, putting the multimedia and wait for the update) as if I were upgrading to a newer version, or if I have to follow some additional procedure (reset the multimídia or include some config.txt file on the stick, for example).

I apologize for the length of the text, but it was the way I found to explain in detail what is motivating me. I hope you can help me. Thanks.

WV1: Thanks a lot... finally i was able to bring to life the unit using the new firmware the way it was explained in the video. But, still have the issue with the Air Condintioner Unit.... It keeps on and off ramdomly , even when it is turn off, it turns on by itself... that really worries me alot

Teyes announced another CC3 update for April 2021, here is the translated changelog.

The following important updates are expected to be released for the CC3 software at the end of April.
The new version will add the following features:

1.Added Cam REC software. With this application, you can record from a rear view camera. The recording files are saved to a flash card.

2.Added TEYES YAHU, the world's first 3D music player for the automotive industry (due to technical complexity, work may not be completed in April).

3.In the device settings, a function has been added to change the screen brightness depending on the time of sunrise and sunset.

4.The system version has been updated. Fixed the issue of crashing the Google Play app in some areas.

5.Added setting for the sensitivity level of voice commands. If you feel that certain keywords easily trigger voice commands, you can lower the sensitivity level. In addition to Russian and English, a voice control function has been added for 7 countries.

6.Added CAR LINK software which supports Android Auto via wired connection and Car Play via wired and wireless connection. Please note that CARPLAY only supports this feature on CC3 devices released in 2021. Android Auto has no limits. For CARPLAY wired connection, you must use the original iPhone USB cable. When using CARPLAY wirelessly, make sure the mobile phone is connected via Bluetooth.

7.Updated EQ software and added a phase switch. The volume and sound effects of the subwoofer change according to the volume of the head unit.

8.Added a new layout for the main screen, as well as automatic switching between day and night modes. From the home screen, you can directly speed dial, view driving data, compass and GPS information. The 4 main music players can be switched with one key. Redesigned and increased image size when viewed in picture-in-picture mode.

9Optimized software for making Bluetooth phone calls. Added a choice of avatars in favorite contacts. Opened data synchronization with the main interface.

10.Added TEYES RADIO and private internet station. Musical compositions can be downloaded and shared through the site mp3.teyes.ru

11.Steering Wheel Key Customization Tutorial has been added for multiple languages.

12.Added automatic OTA update function. In the future, we will provide 2 update methods: manual download update and automatic update.

13.Added multi-finger touch control function. To find out how to use this feature, please see the personal settings section.

14.Added the ability to slide the application menu to the right side of the screen. Swiping from below returns to the previous level. The function is supported no matter which interface you are in!

Hi. earlier you said taht you dont't recommend buying Teyes for people outside Russia and now, that Teyes focuses on European region. What about other countries from Europe other than Russia? I'm from Poland and I own Ford Focus mk 3 (2011-1015)
I am in France, and my CC3 gives me complete satisfaction on my Ford Focus 2. I do not see what the restrictions would be due to the development by the Russians

Notice that there is also a CC2 plus and a Spro plus, that have more or less the same specifications.
The Teyes CC2 plus and Spro plus, does not have the extra ADAU1701 DSP and no gyroscope..

Check if the OBD has good connection with the car socket. Pull it out and put it in again. Scan for Bluetooth devices and you must find it there. Also check the pins on the OBD adapter and the car socket, to see if there are any bent pins that don't connect properly. Also I think I heard somewhere that it's good to connect the OBD before you start the engine.
Thank you for the advice. I did all of the above, but unfortunately with the same result as before.
The CC3 sees the OBD2 adapter in the Bluetooth menu, but after some time attempting to connect I get a "Connected Unsuccessfully" message ( or at least that is what I believe it says, because the message is cut off )
    OBD2.jpg

Also I would like to do a follow up regarding the new firmware. I can confirm that with it the device remains in sleep while the ignition of the car is off, even after 1h and 45min once the ignition was turned on the device woke up instantly. Where as before with the original firmware, after about 5min the device would do a clean / full boot.

And for those looking to get Google assistant working a possible workaround would be to trigger the assistant via one of your steering wheel buttons.
#1 go to Settings / General
#2 Set the Google Assistant as the Navi App option
#3 Go to Settings / Device / Steering Wheel Setting
#4 Map one of your steering wheel buttons to launch the Navi app.

Now just before anyone get way too excited, this is not a perfect solution.
While I'm able to do things like opening apps ( YouTube, waze, 360 panorama app ) asking for direction via google maps, playing specific Playlist via Spotify. I discovered that it's not possible to make or receive phone calls via the assistant, and most likely there are other things that I did not test or discovered.
