I have seen that there has been a lot of talk about the problem with the mic.
I had the same problems, I also tried another external microphone different from Teyes but nothing changed.
The only solution I have found is to install a patch from gordgelin that modifies the gain parameters.

persist.btmic.gain=7
persist.btspk.gain=7
In my case I have both the external Teyes microphone and the active internal one, but now other people can hear me perfectly during the call, when before it was an unbearable problem. It seems that not everyone is doing well, but in my case it has worked and I'm very happy, so I'm not going to touch it anymore.
If you want try it, you can find the patch in the permanent header of the well-known Russian forum, I think neither links nor the patch that belongs to its creator can be posted.

Unfortunately it's next to impossible to get into that forum without being russian ... and you can't download any files without a login.
It took me less than 5-10 minutes to register with Google translate and a camera with Google lens translating the captcha.

I am looking to buy one of these radios and from my research it seems they have locked down the firmware now. Is that true? Can you not make changes to the boot animation or update system files since the latest firmware this year?

They are just a FYT unit, not getting anything the likes of the Mekede, navifly, joying units give. Teyes as a fake brand are running a lock in scam
Just noticed something very odd on my CC3 and don’t remember noticing this before. I have my night brightness level set to 0 and daytime set to 100% and tonight while it’s in the dark mode I started noticing a very slight flickering on the screen. If I increased the brightness then it disappears but the closer I get to 0 the more the flickering is noticeable. It’s not just on CarPlay it’s on the entire teyes UI.
I recently restored to the Jan 23 firmware and before that I had the October release and I can’t remember noticing such a thing before.
Anyone else experience anything similar? What can be causing this? It’s kind or irritating flicker. It’s almost like a refresh rate kind of issue from olden day monitors

On the Vehicle Settings app there is the factory air conditioning control app as well as the factory radio app. Is there a way to completely disable the factory radio option inside the vehicle settings app? Because randomly the factory radio app seems to just load up on my teyes
I've had this happen as well. It will randomly open the radio app on its own, sometimes the video player app or music player app and start playing the random preview songs that came preinstalled on the tablet. Kind of annoying. I don't know if firmware/software updates would fix this but I've been weary of updating my unit because I know people talk about tweaks and stuff that you can't do sometimes if you've updated but then again I don't speak Russian and doubt I will ever deal with trying to navigate some foreign forum and try to figure out how to do these things so I should probably just update and pray it resolves my little quirks.
No need to read Russian, Google Translat is there for that. I also noticed these inopportune changes of sources, during discussion with a passenger? I wonder if it is not due to an eratic functioning of the voice recognition
I purchased and install the latest Teyes CC3 head unit with 360 degrees. I ran into an issue with receiving phone calls. I am able to make phone calls perfectly, but when a call is made to the unit it rejects the call, which automatically causes the call to go to voice mail immediately. Notice that there is also a CC2 plus and a Spro plus, that have more or less the same specifications.
The Teyes CC2 plus and Spro plus, does not have the extra ADAU1701 DSP and no gyroscope..
I already verify that there is no call forwarding enabled on the SIM and I have proved this by putting the SIM into another device that received all the incoming calls. I have tried the other SIM slots but no joy.

Sleep seems ok in 15/03 firmware so I am happy with it. If it is not sleeping try turning sleep mode off then on again in factory settings. Mine required this.11
You can find a tutorial using their app to register and download the patch, I'm sure you could edit the file though with how finicky this device is I'd use the patch as it's known to be reliable.
I spoke about how to remove the weather from statusbar in post #2982 and it appears to work perfectly.
I started my car after work and CC3 booted, since I've had it I don't think I've seen a reboot yet so that's not good it takes a long time if it this keeps happening I'll revert back to Vincent Vega firmware. Will see what happens tomorrow morning. -

I did, bought a new gps receiver and now works great. Conclusion, gps that came with it was duff or just so cheap it wasn’t up to the job. Thanks for following up.11I have also rolled back to 20.10.2022 as the latest firmware has a bug in that the unit does not sleep correctly but does a complete shutdown/restart.
One thing I have noticed that you need to do a complete factory reset after roll back or some of the previous firmware behaviour is still installed.
For example in the latest firmware install I had set a delayed shutdown of 3 minutes. When I rolled back the firmware this setting was still set even though it was not a feature of the 20.10.22 firmware. I also could not install the nokill patch that works on 20.10 firmware untill I did the factory reset.1
Nothing of any use yet. Simpel stuff back and too - are you sure the connector is tight, reboot it, put gps unit outside......... All of which I gave tried of course. -
7Teyes announced another CC3 update for April 2021, here is the translated changelog.
The following important updates are expected to be released for the CC3 software at the end of April.
The new version will add the following features:
1.Added Cam REC software. With this application, you can record from a rear view camera. The recording files are saved to a flash card.
2.Added TEYES YAHU, the world's first 3D music player for the automotive industry (due to technical complexity, work may not be completed in April).
3.In the device settings, a function has been added to change the screen brightness depending on the time of sunrise and sunset.
4.The system version has been updated. Fixed the issue of crashing the Google Play app in some areas.
5.Added setting for the sensitivity level of voice commands. If you feel that certain keywords easily trigger voice commands, you can lower the sensitivity level. In addition to Russian and English, a voice control function has been added for 7 countries.
6.Added CAR LINK software which supports Android Auto via wired connection and Car Play via wired and wireless connection. Thank you for the advice. I did all of the above, but unfortunately with the same result as before.
The CC3 sees the OBD2 adapter in the Bluetooth menu, but after some time attempting to connect I get a "Connected Unsuccessfully" message ( or at least that is what I believe it says, because the message is cut off )
Also I would like to do a follow up regarding the new firmware. I can confirm that with it the device remains in sleep while the ignition of the car is off, even after 1h and 45min once the ignition was turned on the device woke up instantly. Where as before with the original firmware, after about 5min the device would do a clean / full boot.
And for those looking to get Google assistant working a possible workaround would be to trigger the assistant via one of your steering wheel buttons.
#1 go to Settings / General
#2 Set the Google Assistant as the Navi App option
#3 Go to Settings / Device / Steering Wheel Setting
#4 Map one of your steering wheel buttons to launch the Navi app.
Now just before anyone get way too excited, this is not a perfect solution.
While I'm able to do things like opening apps ( YouTube, waze, 360 panorama app ) asking for direction via google maps, playing specific Playlist via Spotify. I discovered that it's not possible to make or receive phone calls via the assistant, and most likely there are other things that I did not test or discovered.
