!!!!!HISSING SOLVED!!!!!

So, because this was my first time with replacing a head unit, I made some uninformed mistakes. Unfortunately there are no instructions for car specific model installations so it required some research. BUT I hope this post can be used to help others down the line. For anyone using a Teyes CC3 and using the OEM Bose amp from the 2013 CX-5 car, make sure you do the following, a little history of my process is also included:

The unit was shipped and received with two Power harnesses. One harness had a blue cable labelled "AMP-C" while the other harness had the blue wire labelled "AMP" and ALOT more connections like RCA etc. The harness with the AMP-C wire also had the Antenna assembly photo'd below with no RCA connectors:

View attachment 5922199

What caused the hiss was using this harness originally, attaching the AMP-C on this harness to the AMP-C on the audio interface harness photo'd below:

View attachment 5922201

This was a mistake. the amp was receiving power and signal through the AMP-C connection i soldered giving the amp more power than it could deal with essentially feeding the amp a line level signal hence the hissing.

So after much troubleshooting, i noticed that the other harness that had the blue "AMP" wire had a number of RCA inputs (RCA are normally passive signal)! And I had a spare RCA harness that came with the unit (also photo'd above next to the audio interface harness)!

Once I soldered the AMP-C from the audio interface harness to the power harness's AMP wire, I plugged in the RCA cable harness to the power harness as well(FR, FL, RR, RL). The RCA harness plugs into the back of the CC3. Photo below:

View attachment 5922219

Now came the ANT car connection, the power harness with the RCA Plugs and "AMP" wire did not come with this, so I had to cut the blue connector (marked with an "X" in the photo above) from this harness and solder it to the ANT lead on the other. See photo above and below^^^

Once everything was assembled into the car, it worked. It just worked. I was able to bring power conditioning in the CC3 all the way back up to 60 and it sounds crystal clear.
Thanks for info! Unfortunately I have a bit different harness and could not copy that.. Could you measure the voltage level now turning your amp on? Just thinking could I just reduce the voltage level to achieve what you have. At the moment I have 10.8V switching the amp on.

I imagine it will be around 10 to 12v. Can't check at the moment since it is POURING outside. Can you send a photo of the harness that you have? What trim Pajero is it?

I also have relay connected (between blue and brown wires) so amp will not turn on before ignition is on, because someones have had issues of battery draining without relay cutting out amp. But that should not create any interference to amp, I believe.

There are tens of different variants of original head unit and thus different connectors on them, and on mine I dont use that antenna plug as car antenna plugs straight to CC3. Blue wire on that antenna plug is already connected to that other blue wire (connector on right side of the pic) that turns amp on. Also all RCA's are unused.

I dont know is there fault on diagram or something, but on that plug that has the blue wire turning amp on, it is named "ANTENNA-POWER" and next to it black wire is named "AMP POWER ON". At first I connected brown AMP wire to that black "AMP POWER ON" wire and that did not turn the amp on. Only when connected to blue "ANTENNA-POWER" wire, amp turned on:

1685512740522.png

I already tried to reduce voltage level with couple of diodes I found, those only reduced voltage level ~1.1 V and it did not affect to the hissing noice at all. But I dont know so much about CAN bus systems, is it more about the waveform than voltage level that matters in this system?

Here is also the instructions Teyes offers (the second red NOTE at the bottom):

I see in the instructions they mention a Green/Red wire as opposed to a blue wire for the relay switch install.

Alternatively it states that the blue AMP-CTRL wire must be connected to the pink ANTENNA ON wire from the green plug block. Which i assume is from the OEM cable going to the amp. I wish I had this car in front of me to get a good look...

I factory reset my CC3 and then updated to the May update and I can't open the "app drawer" at all. It looks like it wants to load then just crashes back to the home screen with no message. Anyone else experience this?

In instructions there are two different variants of the head unit, so wire colours and connectors varies too according to variant. Also the power harnesses that attach between head unit and car harness varies too and has different wire and connector colours. So my AMP-CTRL wire on head unit harness is brown and it connects (via relay) to car harness that has green connector and pink wire on it.

I have tried different forums, including Australian ones, but not much help on this matter as this is not so common setup yet. Well not on FB, yet.

Yes, I had MMCS with integrated GPS.

Yep, I have had in mind to buy new amp to replace original and get more noice ;) Well, maybe I can live with the hissing sound until that :)
Did you read a post, a couple pages (?) Back about a fix for the hissing, different car, but probably the same problem, (incorrect wiring of power cables) ... Post included a few pics

Yep, that post is the one I replied in the first place in this matter (if you mean the same post I'm thinking of you are talking about) :D And that made me wondering can I fix it if it is related to Teyes/harness. And here we are :)

Hopefully you get it sorted

I only scanned through the posts, not really taking much notice of who was following/participating...

I suppose you really need to get a pin out diagram for your specific headunit, and help (?) from someone with electronics / audio experience verses programming experience ...

The wiring looms will most likely be "off the shelf" supplies from the people supplying the stereos, with very little (quality) mix n match knowledge...

If "you're lucky" someone out in the community comes up with the solution - but nothing gets changed by the sellers
Because as posted previously it's just "cookie cutter reselling"

@jamdwan i also lost android auto after May update, it clearly has to do with WiFi shutdown which the log claimed to solve 🤦 I can see on my phone how it momentarily connects when carlink shows connected and everything resets.

Did anyone downgraded the OS from May to March update? March version worked like a charm for me :(

My march update worked perfectly. As soon as I was in the car, android auto worked wireless everytime, never dropped connection at all. Updates usually bring more upgrades, or slight variations to make things even better. What the hell went wrong here to completely lose bluetooth from the device!!!! It's the most basic function. Praying the June update works to fix this stuff up.

Has anyone got the different reverse camera views working with the Teyes AHD reverse cam?

These used to work with my OEM camera but when I installed the AHD reverse camera, it just stays in the ultra-wide angle view even if I press the buttons for the different views.

I have a normal CC3 installed on my Honda Civic LX 2019 btw.

Any thoughts?

    I just got a TEYES CC3 2K.

I have been reading several posts here on cda and elsewhere on the net.

But I can't seem to find out if it is possible or not to pair a bluetooth OBD2 with the Teyes head-unit.

If I try to pair it via the bluetooth app, the app finds the OBD2 but when I try to pair it it just says pairing/connection and never asks for a pin - and after some time is just says can't connect.

I read somewhere that you can only use Teyes' OBD2 with Teyes head-unit?
Is this true? Are there any tweaks or tricks that can "fix" this?
what's up bro.. you can.. you just have to flash you system with the teyes firmware and change the Bluetooth type in the config file included in thebfirmware file before you do so.. search this thread

I have got a question about am/fm reception. It is a CC3 in a 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser. The reception on both, particularly AM is terrible. The local baseball team is on AM and I am a fan so I need it. It is much worse than the original factory radio. The range of good reception is less than 1/2 the distance of the factory radio. I have checked on the antenna connections and they all seem good. I am going to check to see that everything is grounded and double check the antenna. When I am in range and away from interference (electric transit busses) it works well.
In my case, the reception was also poor with the antenna of the car, I installed an amplified antenna. And, it became impeccable. I cannot speak for AM reception, unused in France.

Anyone updated to the latest (June) firmware and lost the vehicle settings app?
Anyone know where I can get the APk?
The vehicle settings app only appears if some specific cars are chosen in the canbus settings. It disappears if no car is set or if some certain cars are set.

Double check your car is selected in the canbus settings.

    Hello everybody.

Sorry if the question was asked already but I couldn't find an answer.

I have a Teyes CC3 2k 360 unit on my car (April 2023 built) and I wanted to upgrade the firmware.
On Teyes's site they recommend a factory reset prior to the upgrade but I wanted to know if the factory reset will erase all 360 cameras/canbus/etc settings.
In theory I could save the 360 settings from what I saw and try to parse all menus and make photos of the settings but it's a bit of a hassle to do this every time a new update is launched.

So, does anybody know if the reset deletes all 360 cameras/canbus/etc settings/presets?

    Thank you.

Teyes announced another CC3 update for April 2021, here is the translated changelog.

The following important updates are expected to be released for the CC3 software at the end of April.
The new version will add the following features:

1.Added Cam REC software. With this application, you can record from a rear view camera. The recording files are saved to a flash card.

2.Added TEYES YAHU, the world's first 3D music player for the automotive industry (due to technical complexity, work may not be completed in April).

3.In the device settings, a function has been added to change the screen brightness depending on the time of sunrise and sunset.

4.The system version has been updated. Fixed the issue of crashing the Google Play app in some areas.

5.Added setting for the sensitivity level of voice commands. If you feel that certain keywords easily trigger voice commands, you can lower the sensitivity level. In addition to Russian and English, a voice control function has been added for 7 countries.

6.Added CAR LINK software which supports Android Auto via wired connection and Car Play via wired and wireless connection. Please note that CARPLAY only supports this feature on CC3 devices released in 2021. Android Auto has no limits. For CARPLAY wired connection, you must use the original iPhone USB cable. When using CARPLAY wirelessly, make sure the mobile phone is connected via Bluetooth.

7.Updated EQ software and added a phase switch. The volume and sound effects of the subwoofer change according to the volume of the head unit.

8.Added a new layout for the main screen, as well as automatic switching between day and night modes. From the home screen, you can directly speed dial, view driving data, compass and GPS information. The 4 main music players can be switched with one key. Redesigned and increased image size when viewed in picture-in-picture mode.

9Optimized software for making Bluetooth phone calls. Added a choice of avatars in favorite contacts. Opened data synchronization with the main interface.

10.Added TEYES RADIO and private internet station. Musical compositions can be downloaded and shared through the site mp3.teyes.ru

11.Steering Wheel Key Customization Tutorial has been added for multiple languages.

12.Added automatic OTA update function. In the future, we will provide 2 update methods: manual download update and automatic update.

13.Added multi-finger touch control function. To find out how to use this feature, please see the personal settings section.

14.Added the ability to slide the application menu to the right side of the screen. Swiping from below returns to the previous level. The function is supported no matter which interface you are in!

There is no need to remove anything or damage the board. Unclip the plastic cover from the rear side of the screen, unclip the ribbon cable from the board and put a small piece of Sellotape over the two end pins on the right of the cable as you look at it. This way you can easily remove the tape if you change your mind. You need good eyes or a magnifying glass!

Hi. earlier you said taht you dont't recommend buying Teyes for people outside Russia and now, that Teyes focuses on European region. What about other countries from Europe other than Russia? I'm from Poland and I own Ford Focus mk 3 (2011-1015)
I am in France, and my CC3 gives me complete satisfaction on my Ford Focus 2. I do not see what the restrictions would be due to the development by the Russians
