!!!!!HISSING SOLVED!!!!!

So, because this was my first time with replacing a head unit, I made some uninformed mistakes. Unfortunately there are no instructions for car specific model installations so it required some research. BUT I hope this post can be used to help others down the line. For anyone using a Teyes CC3 and using the OEM Bose amp from the 2013 CX-5 car, make sure you do the following, a little history of my process is also included:

The unit was shipped and received with two Power harnesses. One harness had a blue cable labelled "AMP-C" while the other harness had the blue wire labelled "AMP" and ALOT more connections like RCA etc. The harness with the AMP-C wire also had the Antenna assembly photo'd below with no RCA connectors:

View attachment 5922199

What caused the hiss was using this harness originally, attaching the AMP-C on this harness to the AMP-C on the audio interface harness photo'd below:

View attachment 5922201

This was a mistake. the amp was receiving power and signal through the AMP-C connection i soldered giving the amp more power than it could deal with essentially feeding the amp a line level signal hence the hissing.

So after much troubleshooting, i noticed that the other harness that had the blue "AMP" wire had a number of RCA inputs (RCA are normally passive signal)! And I had a spare RCA harness that came with the unit (also photo'd above next to the audio interface harness)!

Once I soldered the AMP-C from the audio interface harness to the power harness's AMP wire, I plugged in the RCA cable harness to the power harness as well(FR, FL, RR, RL). The RCA harness plugs into the back of the CC3. Photo below:

View attachment 5922219

Now came the ANT car connection, the power harness with the RCA Plugs and "AMP" wire did not come with this, so I had to cut the blue connector (marked with an "X" in the photo above) from this harness and solder it to the ANT lead on the other. See photo above and below^^^

Once everything was assembled into the car, it worked. It just worked. I was able to bring power conditioning in the CC3 all the way back up to 60 and it sounds crystal clear.
You do the right thing.

The plug and play harness feed your Bose amp input with high level line out (speaker out), due to the gain of speaker out is very high, it causing the background hiss noise. Need to modify the harness and feed the amp through the CC3 RCA out. I done this mod in My Teana L33 which original come with Bose amp and hissing as well

I am in France, and my CC3 gives me complete satisfaction on my Ford Focus 2. I do not see what the restrictions would be due to the development by the Russians
Hi, did you get the reverse camera too? Which CANbus box did you get? Did the power cable include the illumination signal, so that button lights turn on and display dims when car lights are turned on? Does the reverse camera view's guide lines turn with the steering wheel?

I have a Wondefoo head unit on my Mk2 Focus and just recently got the reverse camera installed; the lines stay straight and ignore the steering wheel.

Good morning,
1- I have the teyes reversing camera
2- I don't have a canbus box, because on the focus2 (from 2005) the car radio controls go through a resistive network, and the CC3 does not use the other bus information (for this car).
3- the lighting commands activate the darkening and lighting of the lights.
4- the guidelines are fixed, because I don't have a position sensor on the steering column (it appeared later with the ESP).
You have the choice between the guidelines generated by the CC3 teyes, or those generated by the reversing cam.
Finally, I don't know what the denomination focus MK2 corresponds to.

@jamdwan I did downgrade to March firmware, without performing factory reset, and it did solve the android auto issue. I have the latest AA 9.6 version and once again working perfect, clearly issue is with whatever they applied in later softwares

If anyone needs the March package I can arrange an upload somewhere

Thanks very much for your reply.

I think 2005-2011 is all 2nd generation, though my 2009 ST is technically Mk 2.5

2. On mine the steering wheel controls are on CANbus, although my Wondefoo radio doesn't seem to be getting a keycode for the Voice button. Note that the factory service manual shows the buttons are actually a resistive network, but the power cable takes the two control lines and feeds them to the CANbus box. I suppose I could try bypassing the CANbus decoder for them, to get the Voice button working.

3. On the power cables most AliExpress vendors provide for this generation, the wiring harness Illumination pin isn't connected, and they expect it to come via CANbus instead. That doesn't work for my car, so I had to add a pin to the quadlock connector to get the Illumination signal. My Wondefoo radio now reacts to the headlight switch, but I have to keep the dashboard dimmer dial at full brightness. Anything less and all the radio lights and display flickers.

4. Ok. I guess my situation is the same.

Thanks again.

I'm mulling over getting a CC3, because I'd like to have a 2000x1200 display and that gyroscope. My Wondefoo only has 1024x600. But I've only recently gotten everything working on it, and maybe I should just leave well enough alone. Also it has 8G RAM and a microSD slot, which the CC3 lacks. Currently I've got my music library plugged in on a 512GB microSD card, it's really handy.

Also, the CANbus decoder box that came with the Wondefoo has no recognizable name. I also ordered Raise and Hiworld to try out. The Hiworld actually lets you control the HVAC, while the others only display the HVAC info. But it didn't give me any steering wheel controls at all. Ultimately I just used the original decoder box.

Yes, I have one of those too, although I had hoped to preserve the original USB port in my center console. I also wanted to reuse the original mic but they installed the external mic from Wondefoo instead. For reference, the factory mic would have used Audio Ground on pin C6 and signal on C12. The center console AUX input uses C6 ground and left/right on C5 and C11. The USB port uses C3 and C4 for +5V and ground, and C9 and C10 for data (but I'm not sure which is + vs - ).

Hi all,
I've left my car sitting for a couple of months and now my teyes cc3 is playing up, it was fine before.
These are the problems:
- No audio coming out of the speakers
- randomly restart
- reboot button in the drop down menu won't work

I've got a VW polo 2011.
Ive tried replacing the CANbus decoder, since in the settings it says the canbus protocol is unkown idk if thats standard or not, ive tried to update the canbus setting but idk if its saving the data. I've also done a factory reset and its not working.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

**update**
I've pressed the 'rst' button and now it will go through a cycle of the button back-lights turning on and off until it will turn on and show a dead android with no command text. Any ideas?

I have the 2k CC3 installed and like it. Its one of the better implementations, although not perfect.

Has anyone worked out how to set a lock screen password? On a previous head unit I could do this from the Google Find Device App on my phone but not this one. No help from Teyes either.

Has anyone written a hack to swap out the Radio? I already did the media player hack.

Thanks

Hey guys.
Just received my CC3 2k and had a few questions.

First the radio antenna connection on my Prius wont fit the head unit so I'm guessing I need to get a adaptor? Unless I missed something in the wiring.

Edit: I forgot to plug in the antenna. Fixed!!

Also when I go inside car info app I can see my tire pressure but its in KPA. Is there a way to change it to PSI? I did not see any way of editing or changing settings in there.

Hi, to everybody from the EU who ordered a CC3 from the Australian Teyes store - do they ship from Australia or do the have a warehouse in the EU? If from Australia how much import tax did you have to pay?
Thx

Hi Phyrros1
I ordered through Australia, but the package came from China. I didn't have to pay import duty - I don't know if I was lucky or if the declaration was written accordingly.

He is a drop shipper. Has no Aus business address and all product shipped direct from China. No advantage in ordering from Aus seller unless he is cheaper.

So, you are saying they are not in Australia at all? But why are they charging in AUS$ ? Ordering directly from China means from Teyes via AlibabaExpress ?

They are in Aus, but they do not keep stock.
If you buy from the Aus store it is dispatched from China, from the exact same Teyes warehouse as the Aliexpress purchases.

There is zero benefit from buying from teyes.uk
In fact it means you cannot go direct to Teyes for support. You must go through the Australian support, who simply ask the main Teyes if they don't know.

    I just got a TEYES CC3 2K.

I have been reading several posts here on cda and elsewhere on the net.

But I can't seem to find out if it is possible or not to pair a bluetooth OBD2 with the Teyes head-unit.

If I try to pair it via the bluetooth app, the app finds the OBD2 but when I try to pair it it just says pairing/connection and never asks for a pin - and after some time is just says can't connect.

I read somewhere that you can only use Teyes' OBD2 with Teyes head-unit?
Is this true? Are there any tweaks or tricks that can "fix" this?
what's up bro.. you can.. you just have to flash you system with the teyes firmware and change the Bluetooth type in the config file included in thebfirmware file before you do so.. search this thread

I have got a question about am/fm reception. It is a CC3 in a 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser. The reception on both, particularly AM is terrible. The local baseball team is on AM and I am a fan so I need it. It is much worse than the original factory radio. The range of good reception is less than 1/2 the distance of the factory radio. I have checked on the antenna connections and they all seem good. I am going to check to see that everything is grounded and double check the antenna. When I am in range and away from interference (electric transit busses) it works well.
In my case, the reception was also poor with the antenna of the car, I installed an amplified antenna. And, it became impeccable. I cannot speak for AM reception, unused in France.

Anyone else has their screen flickering? Most noticeable when displaying white and in low brightness.

Anyone updated to the latest (June) firmware and lost the vehicle settings app?
Anyone know where I can get the APk?
The vehicle settings app only appears if some specific cars are chosen in the canbus settings. It disappears if no car is set or if some certain cars are set.

Double check your car is selected in the canbus settings.

    Hello everybody.

Sorry if the question was asked already but I couldn't find an answer.

I have a Teyes CC3 2k 360 unit on my car (April 2023 built) and I wanted to upgrade the firmware.
On Teyes's site they recommend a factory reset prior to the upgrade but I wanted to know if the factory reset will erase all 360 cameras/canbus/etc settings.
In theory I could save the 360 settings from what I saw and try to parse all menus and make photos of the settings but it's a bit of a hassle to do this every time a new update is launched.

So, does anybody know if the reset deletes all 360 cameras/canbus/etc settings/presets?

    Thank you.

Teyes announced another CC3 update for April 2021, here is the translated changelog.

The following important updates are expected to be released for the CC3 software at the end of April.
The new version will add the following features:

1.Added Cam REC software. With this application, you can record from a rear view camera. The recording files are saved to a flash card.

2.Added TEYES YAHU, the world's first 3D music player for the automotive industry (due to technical complexity, work may not be completed in April).

3.In the device settings, a function has been added to change the screen brightness depending on the time of sunrise and sunset.

4.The system version has been updated. Fixed the issue of crashing the Google Play app in some areas.

5.Added setting for the sensitivity level of voice commands. If you feel that certain keywords easily trigger voice commands, you can lower the sensitivity level. In addition to Russian and English, a voice control function has been added for 7 countries.

6.Added CAR LINK software which supports Android Auto via wired connection and Car Play via wired and wireless connection. Please note that CARPLAY only supports this feature on CC3 devices released in 2021. Android Auto has no limits. For CARPLAY wired connection, you must use the original iPhone USB cable. When using CARPLAY wirelessly, make sure the mobile phone is connected via Bluetooth.

7.Updated EQ software and added a phase switch. The volume and sound effects of the subwoofer change according to the volume of the head unit.

8.Added a new layout for the main screen, as well as automatic switching between day and night modes. From the home screen, you can directly speed dial, view driving data, compass and GPS information. The 4 main music players can be switched with one key. Redesigned and increased image size when viewed in picture-in-picture mode.

9Optimized software for making Bluetooth phone calls. Added a choice of avatars in favorite contacts. Opened data synchronization with the main interface.

10.Added TEYES RADIO and private internet station. Musical compositions can be downloaded and shared through the site mp3.teyes.ru

11.Steering Wheel Key Customization Tutorial has been added for multiple languages.

12.Added automatic OTA update function. In the future, we will provide 2 update methods: manual download update and automatic update.

13.Added multi-finger touch control function. To find out how to use this feature, please see the personal settings section.

14.Added the ability to slide the application menu to the right side of the screen. Swiping from below returns to the previous level. The function is supported no matter which interface you are in!
    6
There is no need to remove anything or damage the board. Unclip the plastic cover from the rear side of the screen, unclip the ribbon cable from the board and put a small piece of Sellotape over the two end pins on the right of the cable as you look at it. This way you can easily remove the tape if you change your mind. You need good eyes or a magnifying glass!

Hi. earlier you said taht you dont't recommend buying Teyes for people outside Russia and now, that Teyes focuses on European region. What about other countries from Europe other than Russia? I'm from Poland and I own Ford Focus mk 3 (2011-1015)
I am in France, and my CC3 gives me complete satisfaction on my Ford Focus 2. I do not see what the restrictions would be due to the development by the Russians
