Hi to everyone, I have a quick question. I think of getting Teyes CC3 and I wonder if there is any noticeable difference in overall performance between 4 GB Ram and 6 GB Ram versions. I'm talking about standard usage - Navi (gogle maps), Radio/Spotify, bluetooth calls. Possibly I will have both rear camera and front DVR. Is interface responsive and smooth similar in both versions?

I will not play games on it ;-) and I don't need extra 64 GB of storage.

in which head units? android can not store app data on usb. If sygic or igo itself support this - ok, but if not - you can't
Thanks gordgelin. It was only a question. In the s160 units you can install the Sygic and Igo gps navigation apps in the root of the internal memory, and the folders and other files on an Sd or microSD card. In some smarphons with certain versions of android you could move those folders and files to the sd memory and the gps browsers kept working. I was wondering, if in CC3, which has a dedicated usb for software update, could it be possible to insert a USB stick or a microSD card with its adapter and that the gps navigators continue to work. Thank you, I was curious about this matter.

If I remember correctly, it was possible with the older versions of IGO, but, they no longer work with the most recent Android versions.

Yes, it is possible, at least in android 4.4.4 which is the version that my s160 drive has with 16 G of internal storage of which half, approximately, are occupied by the operating system. I carry the Euroa map (including Turkey) in the external memory of the device, with a volume of between 6 and 7 GB. I think that from androdid 4.4.4 (kit kat) to be able to transfer the maps of Igo to the external memory you have to create a folder called "addons" and put in it the maps and the rest of the files such as poi, building, etc. Well, this is only interesting for those who have a device with little internal memory and who like to use GPS navigators with offline maps.

Hi, first thanks for great information provided in this topic
I am new here and wanted to replace my HU and i am between 2 models to choose :
1. OWNIC K7
2. TEYES CC3
I do appreciate if any can help in recommendation between those 2 models
Especially I have no enough back ground about different Android platforms. I have read that TS10 is not good choice while FYT is better to select

Is Teyes CC3 based on TS10 same as Ownice K7 or something else
I do appreciate everyone help here, thanks

OK one more thing. I have noticed that I can enable radar (front/rear proximity sensors) in the factory settings menu.... BUT unfortunately it doesn't work for me :(

does this mean that I have just and only audio notifications and the sensors are not giving anything to the CANBUS and this is why I missed it?? do I need some additional interface to add to the factory's sensors to have such a feature like on the picture?
Hi, have you succeeded to add to cc3?

When music is played on the FM radio together with navigation at the same time, then during each notification from the navigation, a bad poping sound is heard. This problem only occurs when FM radio and navigation work together. With online radio, music, bluetooth music and youtube i do not have that problem with navigation .It must be a software problem
Did someone now how to fix this?
Thanks

What did your reseller suggest.

Anyone reading your question will be guessing without posting information;
- Head unit info / Firmware versions
- what you have tried to fix
- contact with reseller.

The asking reseller also helps the community, the reseller might send you an updated firmware or advice that can be shared with XDA.

Consider a Mekede/Navifly (FYT = 1 or FYT = 116)

I just brought two, having come from MTCD (JY and HA).

The Mekede/NAVIFLY (YIN) blows the MTCD PX5 I had out of the water :)

- Audio / True multiband EQ and DSP
- Screen quality/size
- Firmware quality
- Resume from power on consistency
- No MCU anomalies (such as loss of backing camera, or sudden loss of steering wheel controls)
- Factory Options built in that MTCD requires mods for (Adaptive volume, Backing lines configuration, and more)
- Bluetooth audio quality including calls
- OBD OBDLink LX paired instantly without fuss
- Ease of modifying / rooting / updating / recovering
- Competitive pricing

Above anything else, the audio quality is significantly better to my ears.

Note, I am NOT recommending the FYT reseller Teyes to those outside of Russia.
My opinion is a strong avoid (reseller) Teyes. Do not buy.

Another version of the radio app - you'll find these on 4pda.

There are 4pda expert level authors/contributors here such as @gordgelin - would be great if they shared here. I understand though that might be too much work.

I also intend on asking permission to reshare/host key files.

I own the CC3 6/128. I do not encounter this problem, either with "IGO", "SYGIC", "HIRE", or "WAZ".
In addition, I installed a whip antenna (about twenty centimeters) bi-amplified for FM and DAB band, it is day and night in reception! Here

Thank you very much for your reply
Just one question if you can clarify, why you dont recommend to buy Teyes for people outside Russia, what is the main reason?
thanks

Hi. earlier you said taht you dont't recommend buying Teyes for people outside Russia and now, that Teyes focuses on European region. What about other countries from Europe other than Russia? I'm from Poland and I own Ford Focus mk 3 (2011-1015)
I am in France, and my CC3 gives me complete satisfaction on my Ford Focus 2. I do not see what the restrictions would be due to the development by the Russians

The software I believe focuses on European region - all the customizations Teyes create for their FYT units.

I dont think the premium price to be worth the value.
    Fully agree.
    Thanks mate
The issue navifly has no unit fit my car
    What about OWNICE K7?

    I don't have a Teyes CC3 and neither a Mekede.
What I've seen over the past year in the firmware releases (which I open up and analyze) is that the expensive FYT units like T'eyes, Idoing, K2 and Ownice K7 get more and more customization and with that more and more bugs (as to what I read on these forums). And then T'eyes throws some extra customization flavour over it with a few of their own apps. And why do you need a gyroscope (a little piece of extra hardware): in my eyes a completely useless distracting waste of screen space.

Whereas the cheaper Mekede/NaviFly units keep the more straightforward FYT firmware. I would personally go for a Mekede/NaviFly.

But that's theorizing along the side line. ;)

Thank you so much for your reply
I am afraid my car dosent fit any of NaviFly/Mekede, i contacted them with my old screen size and i am waiting for feedback
Any other option you think off?

Odd. They are mostly standard sizes with trim kits.

Considered buying the trim kit separately?

Hi, i posted this in the TEyes Australia thread, it was suggested that I also post here as its more active.
Also, this was just posted there isn repsonse to the question of whether my previous unit behaved differently.
It does appear that the cc3 is not being powered correctly. On my car the headlights etc will turn off when the door is opened and I believe this is controlled by the canbus. Have you played around with the canbus settings. My understanding is that cc3 goes into deep sleep after a few days of not being used to conserve battery maybe this is not happening because of the way it is being powered.

Teyes announced another CC3 update for April 2021, here is the translated changelog.

The following important updates are expected to be released for the CC3 software at the end of April.
The new version will add the following features:

1.Added Cam REC software. With this application, you can record from a rear view camera. The recording files are saved to a flash card.

2.Added TEYES YAHU, the world's first 3D music player for the automotive industry (due to technical complexity, work may not be completed in April).

3.In the device settings, a function has been added to change the screen brightness depending on the time of sunrise and sunset.

4.The system version has been updated. Fixed the issue of crashing the Google Play app in some areas.

5.Added setting for the sensitivity level of voice commands. If you feel that certain keywords easily trigger voice commands, you can lower the sensitivity level. In addition to Russian and English, a voice control function has been added for 7 countries.

6.Added CAR LINK software which supports Android Auto via wired connection and Car Play via wired and wireless connection. Please note that CARPLAY only supports this feature on CC3 devices released in 2021. Android Auto has no limits. For CARPLAY wired connection, you must use the original iPhone USB cable. When using CARPLAY wirelessly, make sure the mobile phone is connected via Bluetooth.

7.Updated EQ software and added a phase switch. The volume and sound effects of the subwoofer change according to the volume of the head unit.

8.Added a new layout for the main screen, as well as automatic switching between day and night modes. From the home screen, you can directly speed dial, view driving data, compass and GPS information. The 4 main music players can be switched with one key. Redesigned and increased image size when viewed in picture-in-picture mode.

9Optimized software for making Bluetooth phone calls. Added a choice of avatars in favorite contacts. Opened data synchronization with the main interface.

10.Added TEYES RADIO and private internet station. Musical compositions can be downloaded and shared through the site mp3.teyes.ru

11.Steering Wheel Key Customization Tutorial has been added for multiple languages.

12.Added automatic OTA update function. In the future, we will provide 2 update methods: manual download update and automatic update.

13.Added multi-finger touch control function. To find out how to use this feature, please see the personal settings section.

14.Added the ability to slide the application menu to the right side of the screen. Swiping from below returns to the previous level. The function is supported no matter which interface you are in!
