Does anyone with a Ford 2010ish car know if an idatalink maestro adapter is required to install a cc3 and retain factory steering? My cc3 is coming soon but I am unsure if I need the maestro adapter to retain my steering wheel functions and oem microphone. I'm new to car stereo information and I have been digging over this info for about 2 weeks and I am still unsure if I need anything else before my order arrives.

I have a 2011 Ford s max. Steering controls work ok with the supplied can bus decoder and I’m using the supplied external mic
i have a 2006 Toyota sienna , aliexpress seller swears steering wheel controls work without canbus but they really don't, anyone have any experience with a similar car on how to make steering wheels control work? i really need to get them working because i lose access to the physical up/down - volume buttons on my unit once i install it '/ .

Anyone have an tips to improve the microphone quality, feedback from others while using bluetooth calling is that they can barely hear me. It's the one outstanding issue I have with the teyes. I've read that disabling the internal mic can hep, but others have reported no improvement from doing that.
Do you know the impedence/specs of compatible mics? Can i use anything aside from the mic direct from Teyes?
You mean to replace the mic that came with the unit? And do you have recommend?
I have a cc2+. I desloldering the internal microphone and am currently running a external mic. Was all trial and error (I have 4 external mics) one of Amazon was the best and people can here me just fine.
To disconnect the internal one you will need to remove the unit from your car. Behind the touch buttons there's a slot you can open. Remove the touch buttons by removing the ribbon. At the top there's the microphone. Remove it without damaging the board. That will display the internal microphone.
The seller is no longer selling the microphone I have however it's just a drop shipper.

Have just completed the installation of my CC3 head unit into my 2015 Kia Sportage. All seems okay so far apart from when I try to update the radio stations list. Instead of getting a UK list, the radio seems to think I'm in Bagan Datuk. Is there some setting somewhere I've missed ?
Unfortunately, from my understanding, that does not work on the cc3. I wish there was a way to adjust it in software.
So I checked out Gordgelin's site, and wound up removing the internal mic. After that it works perfectly with the external. So thank you to everyone that helped.

My unit wouldn’t dim when I turned my lights on. But then found that if I turned the dimmer down slightly then it started working. Maybe yours is similar? -
2If you read back through the thread you will find other unit recommendations. The dash trims are provided to suppliers by a third party to Teyes etc so not specific. My personal recommendation would be Navifly as I had a great support experience with them but there are others as good and as a bonus much cheaper than Teyes.1

1A new firmware version has been released for Teyes CC3 by Teyes but be warned that you cannot roll back to a previous firmware if there are problems.
Teyes have further lockdown the firmware to make it harder to install non Teyes apps and mods. A reason to consider other FYT units over Teyes units. -
7Teyes announced another CC3 update for April 2021, here is the translated changelog.
The following important updates are expected to be released for the CC3 software at the end of April.
The new version will add the following features:
1.Added Cam REC software. With this application, you can record from a rear view camera. The recording files are saved to a flash card.
2.Added TEYES YAHU, the world's first 3D music player for the automotive industry (due to technical complexity, work may not be completed in April).
3.In the device settings, a function has been added to change the screen brightness depending on the time of sunrise and sunset.
4.The system version has been updated. Fixed the issue of crashing the Google Play app in some areas.
5.Added setting for the sensitivity level of voice commands. If you feel that certain keywords easily trigger voice commands, you can lower the sensitivity level. In addition to Russian and English, a voice control function has been added for 7 countries.
6.Added CAR LINK software which supports Android Auto via wired connection and Car Play via wired and wireless connection. Please note that CARPLAY only supports this feature on CC3 devices released in 2021. Android Auto has no limits. For CARPLAY wired connection, you must use the original iPhone USB cable. When using CARPLAY wirelessly, make sure the mobile phone is connected via Bluetooth.
7.Updated EQ software and added a phase switch. The volume and sound effects of the subwoofer change according to the volume of the head unit.

I am in France, and my CC3 gives me complete satisfaction on my Ford Focus 2. I do not see what the restrictions would be due to the development by the Russians5
Thank you for the advice. I did all of the above, but unfortunately with the same result as before.
The CC3 sees the OBD2 adapter in the Bluetooth menu, but after some time attempting to connect I get a "Connected Unsuccessfully" message ( or at least that is what I believe it says, because the message is cut off )
Also I would like to do a follow up regarding the new firmware. I can confirm that with it the device remains in sleep while the ignition of the car is off, even after 1h and 45min once the ignition was turned on the device woke up instantly. Where as before with the original firmware, after about 5min the device would do a clean / full boot.
And for those looking to get Google assistant working a possible workaround would be to trigger the assistant via one of your steering wheel buttons.

#2 Set the Google Assistant as the Navi App option
#3 Go to Settings / Device / Steering Wheel Setting
#4 Map one of your steering wheel buttons to launch the Navi app.
Now just before anyone get way too excited, this is not a perfect solution.
While I'm able to do things like opening apps ( YouTube, waze, 360 panorama app ) asking for direction via google maps, playing specific Playlist via Spotify. I discovered that it's not possible to make or receive phone calls via the assistant, and most likely there are other things that I did not test or discovered.4
