Important part is what permissions the file will have after being put in /system/. Just putting it in there isn't enough if it can't do everything it needs to do, nothing can be ADB'd to /system/ with full permissions I don't think.
doesn't adb keep permissions (when they are set correctly on a linux system)?
also can i also upload to "/" (root) with adb? then you could change init.rc and not make it remount "/" as ro

yes that line is qualcom specific mustve left that in
but that would not cause bootloops
typically broken build.props do so if hes messing with it
and forgets the correct argument it will throw loops

that line can be removed
but the nv lines were the additions i meant to copy and replace qualcomm ones with
i do have some more just need to get a second been super busy
and just got a new skyrocket leak im working on

As I am relatively new to all this and trying not to root/ unlock my Prime yet has anyone been able to do this tweek using ADB push? I don't want to lose the option of RMAing in case they figure something out but this looks to promising to pass up.

Will this work fine with the international versions of the TF300T running .17 WW firmware? Thanks. ( apologies if this has already been answered)

Post your european version i will update it for you

And theres no wayyyy any mfct or box store for that matter will be able to detect this...impossible.maybe just maybe if you bricked it. And had to send it in..but they would, most likely jtag it and think nothing of pulling the build.prop from, system. Lol

Ok ill do this later thanks. Is it just a case of copying build.prop out of /system?

Thanks a lot, really appreciate the work youre putting in

Just received a firmware update and it failed 2 times. I tried temp unroot but no dice. I did do the prop build update and guessing that is why the firmware update wont take.? one thing I noticed when I went looking for the backed up prop build it is gone. Any ideas?

yep, just copy n put in a zip file and upload it & attach to a post.
Here it is. I have 2 more questions, firstly, will I need to replace it again after I apply the OTA update or will I need a different modified file?

Secondly, is there any way I could mess my system up be doing this, or is it safe? Is it just a case of copying the modified file over to system/ and rebooting?

Thanks again

So will this work with the new firmware version?

NOTE

People always save a backup of your build.prop I had mine named build.prop.bak and it was still there today :)

I'm talking about replacing it on .29, I just update today to .29. I know it worked on .26 since I've been there since day 1 :D
