Thanks for this thread & the information. I have done my research and am ready to pull the trigger on purchasing this TF300 tablet. A couple of questions:

I have a BestBuy in a local town about 20 minutes away from me and there is an OfficeMax in that same local. Online, the OfficeMax of course says "Backordered" in this particular store when I search for it. The BestBuy shows it in stock, however I haven't called them to verify yet.

I see BestBuy also has the 16gb model at a similar price to the 32gb that is on sale at OfficeMax.

Will they try to play this off as being that one and thus not be inclined to give me the "price match" offer?

Should I ask them over the phone about the "price match" when calling to verify they actually have the 32gb in stock before making the trip OR would it be best to just show up with the Ad?

Is a salesman the person I present the ad to OR should I just walk in and go to the customer service desk with it?

Sorry for the goofy questions, just trying to have both ores in the water so I have the best chance at getting this accomplished. :)

All I had to do was bring in the ad, they gave me $54 back. They should know the difference between the 16 and 32. If they dont just explain it. You take the ad to the return desk. You can check what stores near you actually have the 32 in stock on their site. Heres a link for you.

Thanks for the reply! Yep. Per the online location search it shows both BestBuy stores aprox 20 - 30 minute drives from me do have the 32gb in stock. ;)

Yes, Best Buy price matches. Last time I rang a customer up (who was incredibly rude), we didn't even verify that the posted price was there but she had a picture of the price tag of the item from the Wal-mart across the street.

Gauge the kind of person you're dealing with at customer service and if its a younger, end-of-shift employee they will most likely price match without question and without verifying the add. The price match doesn't require manager override in the computer or anything, so its no-hassle for both employee and customer.

And (not a sales pitch) but the black tie protection at best buy is fantastic, esp on tablets & laptops. had a friend who bought a $1000 laptop a few years back, he paid extra for 3 years of protection and got a brand new laptop worth more than what he paid for when he redeemed his plan. I got the same coverage on my TF300T, so I could (theoretically) walk in the store and get a new one, but as of the time of this post they're pulling that model from the shelves in anticipation for the TF700 (Infinity) so I would just get equal value and/or comparable model.
