It seems it doesn't work for me. What I do:

1. Reboot in CWM (5.x), wipe cache
2. Flash nightly 195 (no wipe before)
3. Flash this mod
4. Flash SDcard speed, Data2Ext4, and 130 LCD density zips
5. Reboot

After these steps I have no status bar at all. I'm not using Meizu since I couldn't get it installed (it says "Instalation aborted" when trying to flash it), I'm using Rover Cyan theme.

Is there anything else I should do to have it installed?
What is this "SDcard speed" ?

Edit : Thanks !

Done the same thing that Rapier done :
1. Reboot in CWM (5.x), wipe cache
2. Flash nightly 195 (no wipe before)
3. Flash this mod
4. Flash SDcard speed, Data2Ext2
5. Reboot
I have no status bar at all too :s

Edit :
Code:
 ls -l SystemUI.apk
-rwxr-xr-x

Can someone check the permissions on SystemUI.apk for me please?

In as far as solving: use adb to delete SystemUI.odex, then push the SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk found in the zip to their appropriate locations.

Also, be sure to read my sig ;)

OK. So I've played a little bit with it since I didn't like it doesn't work for me. What I've found is that somehow the patch is related to Meizu theme. So this is working fine IF I'm installing Meizu (something I didn't do from the begining since I didn't saw it is mandatory). So the steps that worked for me are:

1. Flash ANY nightly after 195 (yes any..I've flashed 200 and it's working like a charm)
2. Flash whatever you need after (data2ext, sdcard speed, and so on)
3. Start the device and install Meizu from HERE (you can use also the link provided by TGM in the OP.
4. Reboot in CWM and flash TGF's patch from this topic.

It should work now. stevenstrike hope it works for you too (without any system.apk rights, deletions and so on)

Notes:
1. When installing Meizu I did a mistake that's why I couldn't install it from the very begining. The download is a ZIP file and I thought it should be flashed like other ZIPs. In fact it is an normal ZIP archive that should be unpacked and inside there is an APK that should be run on device in order for Meizu to appear in Theme Chooser.
2. When choosing another theme from Theme Chooser, the status bar goes black again, so that's why I presumed it's related directly to Meizu theme.
3. I got no transparency yet but I'm testing further (or maybe I don't get it because I didn't use nightly 195?)

TGF, I saw the patch has the clock in the center. You were also saying about puting the signal and other icons in the center and leave the clock at the right side. I'd love that variant if and when you'll have enough time for it

BRAINWAVE!

When you install it and the status bar is black, reboot the phone or trigger a notification of some sort. See if that helps. I'm off in a few hours. I'll try and get the other variant out if I find a chance.

I've only just updated to that myself. I have a shoddy internet connection where I live now (about 7KBit/s down and 100 or so B/s up) so I won't be updating here for a while... Loading this took long enough. I look into 3G tethering options over the next few weeks, but freshers week at Uni is pretty wild.

I'll update when I can

(As a bonus there's a SystemUI attached with transparency enabled, and the clock on the far left, as I'm currently tethering off my phone)

Bump

I've played around with the new lockscreen in CM (the ring one) and I really like it. As I no longer need to mess around with the lockscreen text for it to look right for me I prolly won't remake that MOD until CM7.1 stable hits. I do, however, have a framework-res that disables the blur behind the power menu for you, and I'll try and make a version with tablet tweaks enabled tomorrow. All for nightly 203 btw.

Update on the status of my internet:

The wired network in my room is meant to be 2MB down, but it's only pulling 10KB down max at the moment. Rest assured I'm doing everything I can to sort it. There's is, however, wifi in my block, and that varies from 3MB to 1KB down based on usage and, as far as I can work out, the need I have for fast internet. My need for speed is inversely proportional to the actual speed. So, downloading nightlies and uploading updated version of this prove difficult (apart from anything else, I'm still halfway through freshers week at university and I have other things on my mind ;)).

Solution: On campus I get a good internet connection, but I'd be working from my netbook there. I'll need to work out a good workflow for updating all these and uploading it for you. I'm also using my GiffGaff SIM in my Galaxy Tab to get HSPA speeds in my room, but I'm not gonna be doing substantial downloads on that.

Please understand that I really want to keep this up to date with CM, but I think I'm gonna struggle. Also note that I only update my phone when I see something interesting merged (the new lockscreen counted). Follow me on twitter to see when I update ;)

Bumbity bump

I have options for y'all again. For the last couple of weeks I've been building my own versions of CM (they're nothing special, I can assure you) with a few unmerged patches pulled in. I can upload a version of that, with the tweaks in this provided if you like, but it is a full ROM. The feature list for that ROM is as follows:

Code:
Moved lockscreen text up a bit
Removed lots of padding
Added semi transparent bg to music control
Allowed transparency in status bar
Centred clock
Centred date
Added MIUI battery bar - http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,7678 | http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,7677
Added style options for Ring lock lockscreen - http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,8739 | http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,8740
What I'll do is patch the "official" stable build with the transparency, centred clock and shizz and upload that. Check back in the next few hours to see that. If you want the full build that I'm actually using, give us a shout :D
