Accessories The best protection for your Galaxy S23 Ultra from Texas - Caseborne by ArmadilloTek [SPONSORED]

Search This thread
All of my cases arrived today! I have the one from this offer thread and also my Unicorn Beetle case.

I will be sure to provide feedback/reviews once I get the phone to put into the cases, but I can tell you I will have a VERY hard time deciding on which one will be my daily driver and which will be for a spare.

I am looking for local people that want these other 2 cases (for free since that is how I got them) that will give feedback for them too. :) I am sure I have friends that are getting the S23 and S23+.

The instructions make clear that they are interested in feedback given to them, *not* reviews. Amazon also allows reviews for free product as long as it's disclosed by the seller. Asking for the order number could be to ensure that the order is marked as such.
Thank you for the reply.
Our original thought is that: We need some word of mouth from platform outside of Amazon, like reddit, facebook group, etc.

Edit: Post deleted because it's off-l topic I can't discuss it further

Hi man, sorry for the misunderstanding, and all the chaos.
We thought we can get some traffic to our Shopify store, and generate some word of mouth
But right now, we just simply offer coupons, and hope can gain people's support!
Thank you for the heads up!

On initial inspection, and please note that I have not installed/used on a phone yet, I can tell you there are a few differences...

I'll post Pics for items I feel need them to help with comparison (will add (pic) to the line item)

CaseBorne:

1. It is a 2-part case. Inner plastic "ring" that goes around the device, then you install into the rugged outer rubberized case.
2. The feel of the case is actually pretty nice. It's nice to hold and adds some bulk (which rugged cases tend to do), but is not so big that it's uncomfortable. Please keep in mind that I am also 6'5" tall and have big hands (I can palm a Basketball with ease), so the size may not fit as well for everyone as it does me. :)
3. The Kickstand is secure when closed. To lock it open, you have to take an extra action of puling the back support arm down to lock it, which means you have to push up a little to unlock to close the kickstand. (pic) - 4. Kickstand does not feel too flimsy and seem like it will last.
5. When closed, the kickstand does not stick out in any way, so pretty flush with the case.
6. All kickstand pivot points are hinged, so no folding plastic to wear off and break.
7. If you look in the picture, the Orange backing is foam, so added protection there (previous post of mine).
8. The USB-C charging port has a cover which protects the port, which is great as I almost NEVER use the port and charge wirelessly.
9. Case back is raised on the edges to keep from teetering when laid down, this also protects the cameras

Unicorn Beetle:

1. Single piece case with rubberized sides.
2. Same as above
3. Kickstand on this case is more useful other than as a kickstand as it folds in the middle and can be used as an additional grip by sliding your finger in the kickstand opening to hold the phone. (pic) - 3. Kickstand is secure when closed. Easy open, close.
4. Middle Hinge allows for sturdier overall feel of the kickstand.
5. Easy to close with one hand when done with it (if using as a grip).
6. When closed, the kickstand does not stick out in any way, so pretty flush with the case.
7. USB-C port is open with no cover.
8. Case back has "feet" on the corners to level the phone when it is set down, these are pretty small and don't impact using/holding the phone.

Overall, I like BOTH cases, so you can't go wrong either way, but I will try them BOTH for a few days, but after initial inspection of both cases, I am leaning to the CaseBorne case for the added protection it gives as well as the USB Port being covered.

The ONLY thing that would make me want to use the Unicorn Beetle case is the kickstand. I like how I can use the kickstand with my finger to add something extra to help hold the phone, but, I will admit, I would probably VERY RARELY use it like this as my fingers are a little big as well (pic) -
Of course, I am saying all of this BEFORE I even have a phone to put in the cases to see how they feel once they are on the phone. I will update as I get my phone (looks like TOMORROW), and let everyone know what I find after.

Oh, yes, that IS a Tardis on my wedding ring. Wife has a matching ring... :D

This sticky is as close to spam as it gets. They pulled off the same thing with the S22U release. Offered a few free cases and then let the thread run long after they gave away those cases. That gave false hope to many and free advertising for Caseborne.
And why is this a sticky? This should be an accessory topic.
Because we paid for a sponsorship thread. Mate,
I am sorry for the inconvenience, we never ever want to spam on xda, we just kindly asked them if we can do an ad.
Bro, all your replies are hostile, I am really worried for you. I will pray for you, wish you can get better in the real life, get better soon!

I am from Texas, people know we are wilder, lol
But I am cool, thank you for the reply

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
I've used this one before and it leaves a permanent imprint on the glass on the back of your phone. This happened with my s21 Ultra. Once that happened I promised myself I'd never use these cases again. A case should not damage your phone.

(To Mod/admin, We have talked to the marketing guy for this thread, and got approved, please don't delete)

It is Karl from Caseborne by ArmadilloTek Inc.
I'm a guy from Texas with a passion for creating the best-rugged phone case. After years of success with our beloved Vanguard case, I took a risk and redesigned it to make it even better. I focused on making it more modern and simple while providing the crazy rugged protection you need. The result? A case that's 20% lighter and thinner but just as tough as ever.

Despite creating one of the best-rugged cases out there, not many people know about us. It takes a lot of money and marketing skills to break through in this competitive market.
There are many brands that brag about how durable their cases are, but neither of them shows you anything.
I don't have money or marketing skills, all I can do is smash my phone in my cases.
Hopefully, people will give us their business.
Check my video (ignore how silly I am)

You can get it on Amazon.com with 20% off - Coupon AMDTEK20

    One More Thing

I understand someone hates to use cases, so I created another brand www.thinborne.com, which is super thin and made of aramid fiber. 0nly 0.03 inches thick and 0.46 oz!
If you guys know about latercase or Pitaka, yes, we are better!
As we do a 3-round quality check on every single case, and we are a U.S. small business with families living in Texas!

After a few hours with the caseborne, it's not a bad case. Solid grip. Glass screen protector sits nicely within the case. Padded corners help with drops. Elevated front edges to help keep screen from touching surfaces if placed screen down. Camera cutout seems large enough fit camera lens protector if you wanted too. kickstand locks nicely in place. Buttons are used with ease.

    Cons:
It's huge. Probably more cause the phone is huge too. The outer protective rubber is very stiff. Removing the s pen isn't smooth.

Over all. Not a bad case or design. Changes I would make would be to put a softer outer rubber surround. And add magnetic options.

Thank you, Karl, for modifying the thread direction -- and thank you to everyone who messaged me.

We appreciate your great cases, the coupon codes, and your continued support of our community!

@hand-filer Just for your information. As this thread's title clearly indicates it's a thread of one of the authorised sponsors of this private website; a reason why this thread also has been stuck in this forum.
If you require more information, please do not hesitate to contact me privately. I'm also happy to bring you in contact with our advertisement department if you intend to promote your products on XDA and to post at prominent locations.
I sell things on Amazon as well and I just spoke with customer support for sellers and ask them about this even without asking for a review this is against their terms of service If it wasn't for the personal information shared between me and the chat rep I would post the screenshots here saying as much
@spart0n I'd appreciate if you review the XDA Forum Rules - at the moment with emphasis on rule no. 15 and to refrain from off-topic posts in future. Thanks for your cooperation. I'm going to contact you privately in a few minutes.
