I like that thin case but I just wished thin cases would follow antenna lines instead of symmetrical gaps

Got the cases today. Since I don't have the phone yet I can't give my full thoughts but they seem pretty nicely constructed. I wish the Ultra had an optional lens piece like the other two do but these cases aren't much bigger than I would expect a Spigen Tough Armor to be while having a better kickstand and being much grippier. I think I'll not even bother buying a Tough Armor like I was planning to as long as the case fits well when I get the phone on Friday.

I have a UAG Monarch. They offer excellent protection and they won't damage your phone.
UAG cases are absolute garbage. I've had three of them and they all fell apart. I don't know why you seem to think these cases that you don't even have will damage the phone but I highly doubt there is any risk here.

Hi, I have always used the later case. I would love to test one of yours with the mag. Lou hasn't made one with mag yet. Thanks for the opportunity.

I just don't understand why anyone would do this ?
I inquired about it and was told you have to buy cases for all 3 of the s23 series. Ask questions and leave reviews on Amazon ect.
They pay you on the side for cases you won't use. Just kinda shady so I passed.

who cares?

After a few hours with the caseborne, it's not a bad case. Solid grip. Glass screen protector sits nicely within the case. Padded corners help with drops. Elevated front edges to help keep screen from touching surfaces if placed screen down. Camera cutout seems large enough fit camera lens protector if you wanted too. kickstand locks nicely in place. Buttons are used with ease.

Cons:
It's huge. Probably more cause the phone is huge too. The outer protective rubber is very stiff. Removing the s pen isn't smooth.

Over all. Not a bad case or design. Changes I would make would be to put a softer outer rubber surround. And add magnetic options.

All of my cases arrived today! I have the one from this offer thread and also my Unicorn Beetle case.

I will be sure to provide feedback/reviews once I get the phone to put into the cases, but I can tell you I will have a VERY hard time deciding on which one will be my daily driver and which will be for a spare.

I am looking for local people that want these other 2 cases (for free since that is how I got them) that will give feedback for them too. :) I am sure I have friends that are getting the S23 and S23+.
Can't go wrong with the Unicorn case esp when a rugged case is desired. I've rocked with them on my last 3-4 devices. Got it on my new S23U now. Just get a Whitestone Doom and you're golden.

So... You've tried this case and didn't like it or you're just simping for the competition?

I haven't gotten to use my case yet but my initial impression is positive and their lifetime warranty and being based out of Texas is a bonus... Supcase's warranty is... not very good.

It flat out says that if they get too many claims and discontinue the product, they'll only warrant the product if you bought it in the last 30 days. This is actually the most egregiously terrible warranty I've *ever* seen.

I just went and read the warranty for Caseborne just to make sure I wasn't talking out of my backside and it's nowhere near as egregious although I believe they could have some further clarity. 7 years = lifetime is even something that seems reasonable to me and while I wish more companies would cover shipping, at least they actually spell out in the terms that you'll be paying for it.

Based on the warranty terms I read about Beetle, I would *NEVER* support that company.

You did get me curious though so I dug up what Spigen's warranty has to say...

I will say... I don't think I would ever buy a Spigen product based on their warranty if I hadn't already experienced their cases surviving long past expectations (I've never actually had a Spigen case fail) because it's not much better than Beetle's. That said, I can get a Spigen Tough Armor on Amazon for what, $18? Did I really expect to have them have a good warranty? No... I expected them to protect my phone and they have - iPhone 8 Plus, XS Max, 12 Pro Max, iPad Mini 5, Pixel 3 XL, OnePlus 9, and Pixel 7 Pro, all Tough Armor, all dropped a few times here and there, none of them broke.

In summation, if I was going by warranty alone, I would pick Caseborne V hands down... Going by experience, I'm really not sure. The Caseborne case seems to have a softer foam than the Spigen case and that should actually help tamp down vibrations (more room for molecules to move around than a tighter substrate = less transferred force) and the angles of the case have extra TPU hanging on them, just more surface area for a bounce to dissipate through instead of the glass/metal of the phone... but I'm not a physics expert and my beliefs could be totally wrong.

If I had to leave one negative comment right now, it's my disappointment to see that the S23 Ultra doesn't come with a camera shield. I'm actually pretty irritated that the "lavender" is in all actuality pink unless online photos are totally wrong and Spigen Tough Armor's precision around the cameras would mean just a tiny little accent when I'm taking pictures, not me looking like a pansy with a huge pink chunk when I'm actually using my phone... That costs time and money though and the S23 and S23+ largely had the same configuration as last year... it is definitely a critique I have though and I'll be emailing Karl so he knows I'm not just getting a free case and running... I'll link him to this comment so he can see my pre-usage thoughts.

EDIT: Spigen is actually $20.99-$21.99 for a Tough Armor on Amazon with a 5% instant coupon available, not $18. That was the pre-inflation price......

Thanks for this writeup! Yes, I agree that Caseborne is a GREAT case, I use it as my daily case. I have my Unicorn Beetle (which I ordered before this offer was put up) and tried to talk to them about a return, but they wanted to be ... not nice ... about it, so I am keeping it and will give it to someone else or something. I don't know.

I think the ONLY complaint I have about the Caseborne Case is that it is a Chunker and it makes it so my phone won't fit in my Columbia Jacket Phone Pocket... oh well, I just put it into the regular pocket. :p

Of course, that is not a reason for me to not use this case. I really appreciate the sturdy build on it.

For other questions, yes, this has a metal pin in the hinge and no, it does not mess with the wireless charging (as this is the only way I charge my phone).

I've used the UAG Pathfinder on my S3, S7, and S10. I ordered the UAG Monarch for my S23 Ultra. I've always had good luck with the UAG Pathfinder. The UAG Plasma has fallen apart on kids' iPhones. I'm not a fan of those.

What case do you prefer?

I used the UAG Maverick I think it was? I switched to Spigen Tough Armor when I got my 8 Plus and I haven't gone back but they always literally fell apart.

That said, I'm warming up to this Caseborne V. It's more OtterBox style with the TPU cover you have to remove before you can get the case off (every Tough Armor I have ever had you can pull it off in one piece even if you aren't supposed to as it's a two piece design) which was a negative for me and I thought the sharper angles were unpleasant but now that I've been using it close to 24 hours, I'm enjoying it. I just flipped the kickstand out before I decided to start typing my opinion and the fact that it actually supported my phone with no finagling? Major bonus. I don't like the USB port cover and will probably cut that off but I'm sure that is a bonus to most people. It also added just the right amount of bulk to the phone. It's basically perfect for me to type on the screen with this case on it.

My post said that I currently have the Unicorn case on my S23U. Yes I have it and like it.

They have changed their warranty since the last time that I looked at it. The case is only $25 so I'm not concerned much at all if they don't do a warranty replacement. I see your point but I'm just not worried about that of such a low $ item. Their cases have protected the last 3-4 devices I've owned with ZERO cracked screens, dents, scratches or damages.

Well a big win for the Caseborne... I got absolutely blitzed last night... To the point that I don't even like Katy Perry but absolutely *had* to watch the TGIF music video a few minutes ago because I just... I haven't been drunk like that in some 18 years and while there wasn't a chandelier casualty or saxophone on the roof, I was *SHOCKED* that my phone doesn't even have a scratch on it after that debauchery. I definitely dropped it more than once last night lol

I also received the Caseborne case for my s23U. I absolutely love it. It fits great in my hand and is comfortable to use. I previously always used the Supcase unicorn beetle pro for my s22u and prior devices. I've dropped them multiple times and they never failed me. I also have had zero problems with their customer service. I wouldn't have tried Caseborne if it wasn't for their promotion but I'm very glad I did. It provides the exact same protection in my limited experience so far. The kickstand is easier to open and close. I also have no problems removing my stylus. I love the idea of supporting a fellow Texan and look forward to using this case as a permanent replacement!

Here is my take on the Caseborne cases:

I can only speak to the S23 Ultra case, but the other cases look very similar and I will assume that most, of not all, of what I discuss here is valid.

Likes:

  • The 2 part case gives the feel of a very protective and sturdy case.
    • The installation can be a little difficult if you are not paying attention, but as long as you get it firmly fit, I feel that this case will offer more protection that most users need.
    • The case can be difficult to remove, but as most users don't remove their cases much, this should not be a real issue.
  • The Charge port cover is a great addition as it protects the USB port.
  • The Fit and Openings make for allowing the Mic and Speakers to be unobstructive and function as designed.
  • The SPen access is unrestricted and easy to remove/insert.
  • The edges of the case come up enough to really show that it'll protect the screen in case of a fall.
  • The added padding inside the case is firm enough to give a little, but not be worthless for protection.
  • The kickstand is a nice addition, especially since it does not add any bulk to the case.
  • The phone lays flat when on it's back, so no camera bump rocking here.
  • There is enough clearance around the cameras to allow for installation of lens protectors and no worries about clearance.
  • The metal bar in the hinge does NOT impact wireless charging at all.

Dislikes:

  • The kickstand, although a welcome addition, does not inspire confidence when using.
    • A different design should be used, the kickstand design used requires too much fiddling to lock in place and hinders the ability to quickly set it up.
    • A middle hinged design like in my original case (ordered before I applied for this offer) performs the same function, but feel more study and useful.
      • This is the ONLY thing about this case I like better than the CaseBorne, but this is not enough for me to ditch this case.
  • The USB cover bump.
    • This keeps my phone from sitting on my wireless charging docks without a slight tilt.
      • This does nothing to the performance or ability to charge the phone wirelessly, but can make me feel the phone is not sitting right on the charging dock

Let me start this off by saying that I was sent this case free in exchange for feedback.

Upon receiving the case, the first thing I noticed is the sturdy kickstand. It is very nice. I am so used to flimsy ones that can't hold the phone up but this one does not have that problem and will definitely get some usage.

The case itself is a standard two piece design. It's got a hard plastic inner shell that's lined with foam to absorb impacts and an outer TPU shell for comfort. It fits the case very snugly - in fact I was used to another case that you could just snap the phone into the two pieces without separating them but this one took some extra finagling to pull that off. Also when trying to remove it, I had to remove the TPU shell first. This is a tiny nitpick but it is a negative thing for me as I'm used to just being able to snap my case on and off but I only really ever have to do that to swap SIM cards so it's fine.

There is a cover over the USB port. I'm personally not a fan of these but they keep lint/dust/water out of the port and some people may really enjoy that.

The edges lift around the screen which should provide some scratch protection and additional drop protection if it smacks face first on a flat surface.

I can confirm that I have already dropped my phone a few times after a few too many drinks and it's no worse for wear and I don't really think there's much more you can say about a case than "it protected my phone from catastrophe" lol.

I do wish the S23 Ultra model had a camera ring protector like the S23+ and S23 cases do but it's possible that in order to pull that off, the case would have to be even thicker. I just would like to cover up as much of the "lavender" as possible because Samsung's idea of lavender is way pink and I don't much care for pink.

I like the more angular design the case has as many cases are rounded and the grip grooves built into the sides definitely work well for being able to maintain your grip on the phone.

Also, all the ports and mic cutouts were done correctly and I had no trouble pulling out and using my S-Pen.

I have decided not to buy a new case for my phone and will continue to use this one but I'm thinking I'll cut the USB port cover off.

(To Mod/admin, We have talked to the marketing guy for this thread, and got approved, please don't delete)

It is Karl from Caseborne by ArmadilloTek Inc.
I'm a guy from Texas with a passion for creating the best-rugged phone case. After years of success with our beloved Vanguard case, I took a risk and redesigned it to make it even better. I focused on making it more modern and simple while providing the crazy rugged protection you need. The result? A case that's 20% lighter and thinner but just as tough as ever.

Despite creating one of the best-rugged cases out there, not many people know about us. It takes a lot of money and marketing skills to break through in this competitive market.
There are many brands that brag about how durable their cases are, but neither of them shows you anything.
I don't have money or marketing skills, all I can do is smash my phone in my cases.
Hopefully, people will give us their business.
Check my video (ignore how silly I am)

Thank you, Karl, for modifying the thread direction -- and thank you to everyone who messaged me.

We appreciate your great cases, the coupon codes, and your continued support of our community!

I've used this one before and it leaves a permanent imprint on the glass on the back of your phone. This happened with my s21 Ultra. Once that happened I promised myself I'd never use these cases again. A case should not damage your phone.
    2
This sticky is as close to spam as it gets. They pulled off the same thing with the S22U release. Offered a few free cases and then let the thread run long after they gave away those cases. That gave false hope to many and free advertising for Caseborne.
And why is this a sticky? This should be an accessory topic.
@hand-filer Just for your information. As this thread's title clearly indicates it's a thread of one of the authorised sponsors of this private website; a reason why this thread also has been stuck in this forum.

I sell things on Amazon as well and I just spoke with customer support for sellers and ask them about this even without asking for a review this is against their terms of service If it wasn't for the personal information shared between me and the chat rep I would post the screenshots here saying as much
