General The cameras on the GT 2 PRO are unacceptable help pressure Realme

Realme needs to officially speak about the cameras on the GT2 Pro.

- no 4k on front camera
- no 60 fps on front camera
- Terrible HDR video Performance
- Terrible Auto exposure ("flashing bug" and over exposure problems)
- No proper Manual mode for videos (only movie mode that lacks resolution, framerate and aspect ratio option)
- bad image processing
- Bad video image processing on all cameras (bad HDR, bad exposure, oversharpening, etc...)
- No 10-bit recording support
- No support to CameraX yet
- No support to ultra wide camera on third party apps
Only 8 megapixels exposed on camera2api causing bad quality on third party apps (gcam, filmic pro, pro shot, etc)

Realme says this device is a "premium Flagship" those cameras need a lot of work.

Aside from the first two things you've listed since it's present in all BBK phones, the rest are okay with me. The photos the GT2 Pro takes is really beautiful and amazing from my experience. I don't see the oversharpening if I turn off AI mode, rather it really captures the colors nicely in my eye. But I do agree that we should pressure Realme to give us more for this premium device they have made.

Examples are:
1. 120FPS mode in games (It has an 8 Gen 1 chipset so give it the 120FPS it can do!)
2. Capped charging to 80% or 85% to lengthen battery life
3. Front camera 4k recording

If there are anymore they should fix, just add them as 4. next.

It is right on the Realme website that the front camera is 32MP with a max 1080p 30FPS video.
Rear camera is as good as it gets.
In my experience, the AI Enhancement produces great photos.
The only complaint I have is poor autofocus for distant objects.
I haven't tested videos in depth so I don't have opinion on that.

The software in these cameras is very bad!!! The software is generally very bad on this phone like why can't I use app lock on system apps. FFS my Realme 3 Pro has an option to lock system apps.

The software is not as fast as the processor. Sometimes I have to click the app twice or thrice to open it if it is in a folder as I click before the animstion of opening the folder is finished and it just closes the folder!!! "Flagship Phone"

agree, pls go on https://c.realme.com/in/board/detail/1511953165354844160 and make a post about your experience with the cameras to pressure realme, only that way something can change, the phone has all the hardware to have 4k 30 on front camera, 10 bit recording, proper HDR video, Proper professional mode etc... just need Realme to do their job.

It also says it is a Premium Flagship.....samsung galaxy s20 fe dosent call itself premium flagship and has 4k on front camera and 10 bit recording support for example.

S20 FE has worse rear camera among other hardware, you are comparing apples to oranges. Check Kimovil website for hardware comparison.
I said it before, GT 2 pro does not have 4k front camera hardware. They can't add 4k with software update. For 700$ GT 2 pro has very good value.

-Why you so sure 4k can't be implemented if the sensor has 32mp?
-Why they can't fix auto exposure going up and down all the time for no reason?
-Why they can't fix HDR video on front camera and expose a face and a sky at the same time if much cheaper devices can like my Poco F3 I had before that had a inferior sensor and inferior Chipset?
-Why they can't have proper support for Camerax and camera2api, front camera shows up as 8mp camera and ultra wide can't even be used on any third party apps, any good reason for that?
-Good value for $700? How about Xiaomi phones, pixel phones, etc

I understand some phones have to make compromises for the price, but Realme advertise this phone as "Premium Flagship" Pocophone don't go out loud saying it has great cameras ( eventough it's better than this flagship).
But Realme says:
"A high-clarity 32MP front-facing camera for crystal-clear selfies and videos."
On the official website.

Just that can be seen as fake advertising if you install ProShot evaluator you gonna see 8mp front camera is available only.

Watch my videos and tell me if high-clarity crystal clear selfies and videos apply to this phone.

You probably don't record with your front camera and is fine with it, but lots of people are not.

Btw2 filmic pro can record in 3k in front camera on Android 12.....why the stock app can't? This is pure software development laziness
