I like P2,but hate Lenovo for software and support, bootloader unlock terms, Lenovo could have made this phone great with minor changes. Due to LETO(moto+Lenovo) number of device line ups,. No LETO device getting better of hardware or software. Now It's up to you to decide..I hope Lenovo give Oreo for P2 bcz SD625 inside.

No you're wrong! The hardware on this device is not comparable to other devices in this price bracket, it's the best.

I just want to say something about p2 software development in other custom rom thread.. people have been complaining about not having volte and fp gesture.. I just want to clear this out that the dev are working on it.. people are downloading it for free and are still complaining about it.. if you want the feature so much why don't you just create it yourself, its open source.. anyone can create it themself, if you are saying that you don't have the knowledge to built it, then thats your own damn problem.. you are getting it for free.. stop complaining.. just flash deodexed version of the rom...

I'm amazed by the developers support for Mi3 and Mi4 (cancro) device. They already got to taste Android Oreo. AOSP based on 8.0's first build is out there.

That is the reason I too bought P2 against RN4,. Now I tell Lenovo doing bad with hardware and software bcz of poor decisions. Bad Moto m outsold this good hardware p2 in India. LeTo proper planning, lesser models per year, proper pricing at launch would have made this p2 great and successful. Only failed and warehouse leftover gets this kind of aggressive price cut, like ZUK [email protected]@10500,that insane worst business decisions by Lenovo...IF Lenovo priced this phone @present cost at launch, Xiaomi did that then this would have been great, successful and had overtaken Redmi note 4 in sales., Then more devs, more development..Now it's different. For most Lenovo phones, this 2-6 month clearance cuts is happening, now moto joined Lenovo... Lenovo trying to sell more models/numbers/cycle, does more recycling than rest.

After buying p2, I bought OP5 at launch, bcz of more memory requirement+dual sim and touch defects my unit faced at same time of OP5 launch,(got it repaired at Lenovo service center), days after my purchase of p2, it got price cuts., Bootloader unlock kills warranty, all thse annoyed me against Lenovo...

all these are my personal [email protected] lenovo and p2 with 5 months of usage., please don't QUOTE me on this. Plz END this here, Everytime it's more like never ending nonsense.

Buy or don't it's an individual's choice...

I'm not complaining but TBH the only reason I'm not working on this myself is because it's my only phone that I actively use for work.

I can't afford to have a cellular downtime as my job pretty much depends on me being reachable at all times.

This is exactly why I offered my services before, given that someone provides me with a second donor device.

The community decided to put their bet on mike, now they have to sit back, watch and wait.

I understand your problem, maybe you should flash deodexed rom, I myself are using right now and recommend to anyone who are waiting for a stable rom right now.. subtratum work fine on it, well not all exactly, kinda have to tweak it a little bit..

Can you recommend a dark substratum theme that works well and the sort of tweaks do I need to do. I tried swift dark but it didn't theme the system UI and many other apps.

You didn't got him. He is actually a developer and was willing to work on Lineage OS for P2 earlier if we could get him a extra P2 but community choose Mike (recognized developer) over him.

Ive used swift daek but avoiding system ui.. but used different theme layer for system ui, i've used "default dark theme" for system ui.. you wont get the full overall set, but at least did something to theme it

That's just general development for lineage, which is normal; there's no indication that any work is done specifically on the P2.

Well I got a huge news. A recognised developer @FireLord got us following.
Clean device tree.
Build everything from scratch.
No deep sleep bug.
Everything works including in call volume rocker to video recording.
Everything is smooth also VoLTE is going to be added soon mostly he will release the build once VoLTE starts.
I'm personally using Lineage os by him for quite a few days (also tested many buids)
Also to be noted unlike the paid(which was hyped so high) developer 1 commits every 20 days where as inspite of being a free developer Aman did over 160 commits.
(Friendly note- So it's not about a developer being paid it's about a developers interest)

If VoLTE isn't necessary the build is 100% recommended for daily driver. I'm using it since quite some time.
