My hangouts keeps crashing. Anything I'm doing wrong?

All I did was download from the posted links then install hangouts...... Starts to work then keeps crashing

Not sure what to tell you Bro I installed and immediately said Ok Google and it worked I had to hold the phone kind of close but I always do that with voice commands

No sweat. I appreciate you trying to help. I had it working at one point but I screwed it up somehow and now it doesn't work. I gotta be doing something wrong. Oh well

Hey. I just came across this and am wondering if you can install the apk's and then use nova launcher but still get the listening Google search? Anybody care to test?

Not interested really. Hoping devs figure out the snapdragon 800 has voice control even while screen is off. Works with s-voice but s-voice is terrible. Hope to get touch less control like moto x. Seems to have fallen under the radar though.

I used for 3 days and I sent a message and included my location and now I can't even open the app without constant force closes so I I installed it and flashed back to my blacked out version

Thanks for the help but the keyboard still pops up. I changed the screen density on my nexus 4 running also KitKat and it does the same thing.

Hangouts seems to crash if you either send or receive an MMS. If your hangouts keeps crashing, clear the data and don't enable sms on it.

I like the hangouts the best, but I noticed that if I send a MMS it will crash hangouts and not open back up..that really sucks but I can't wait till they release that for 4.3. Probably just a 4.3 - 4.4 issue.

I tried it and it doesn't work unless you are using the Google launcher

The funny thing is my voice listening feature just started working a few minutes ago..no clue what I did other than i simply stopped trying to fix it.

My voice listening feature is working, but the Google Search app force closes every time I do a search, manually or voice activated. The thing is, the search goes through after 5-7 seconds, and when it starts to display the answer, it force closes. :/

For anyone wanting to change the dpi of the launcher, you have to go to app settings for xposed and change the dpi of Google Search, not the launcher. Don't change the build prop either because it makes everything wonky.

Have you tried doing the "change language to uk, do a search, change lanquage back to english"? If so you might try doing a couple searches on the uk side before changing back to english. Ive had it not work on 1 search but work on 2 so maybe there is a correlation...

Just before I read this post I switched it back and it's working. That is after several searches with UK English ...so I think you might be on to something
