MIUI 7 - Project​

Introduction

Hi Guys, Its been a long while that I wasn't present on XDA. And now when I Check it out I found that nothing much had happened after I left. But thats not the thing I am here for - I consider that its time to some startover for me - sooo.... I am Back getting rooted

The Actual ne thing is that I am giving an atemp to MIUI 7 ROM - Project - Would hope for success in building an gr8 one
I and many other developers have done previous attempts to make MIUI 7 but have failed. But this time we will do it!!

Till now there is only one such ROM working under CM11 which has many bug issues

---- I am here to say that i hav started ---- Resume my old project ----
I m giving 3 tries
1. Debugging the old MIUI7 rom available - i hav started to get a bit of success in it
2. Building MIUI 7 rom via port rom method - Currently i m doing this - 1 try - successfuly flashed and now am on boot screen - will wait for about 1 hr
3. Building the rom from scratch - i will do from 1st aug - when i would hav more internet
4th thing - i m thinking of building some other roms too
Please support this work guys i would try as much as i can- even when i m having a pretty little time

Hi guys, I am just here to tell u that I hav started to develop miui 7 from patchrom method - i m sorry that i m going to work a bit slow as my net is not up to speed rit now. as suggested i m going through the patchrom method with cm12.1 aio3 as base. Here just to tell u guys that i have began the work today. Hope it works...

Ok bro thanks for the info, i didnt knew that it was kk. I think i need to first built a cm11 as the one available is buggy for me. First the lockscreen issue n then aftr solvin that i get wifi, bluetooth not working. Sooo. I will see through it

Bro ur point is relevant - but what i think is that - miui 8 is latest - till now not even made for other devices which similar specs of grand 2 i think. Other thing is that i know the patchrom method of making miui7 - which has been sucsessful once so it should work again... i think

miui 8 will come with patchrom maybe next month
it will be on mm and lp both
bt i tried to port miui 8 from redmi 1s
u can check in general section of redmi 1s

thats a gud thing to know, i think patchrom method is better port rom method as porting rom didnt worked for me even in miui7

Guys just informing - I m trying to make patchrom miui 7 using the ubuntu in virtualbox - due to this the process is vry slow as it works slow on my laptop - Second - when downloading the source of miui 7 - my network usually gets interrupted- this has happen x2 with me now due to which i have to start source download again-n-again - n third - i m using cm11 as base - which is still buggy so ril bug can still exist - i wont be able to make an cm11 as its source is around 12gb which not in my reach right now. so expect a delay from me - n other thing is that i may change base which can be helpful just informing for my version of miui 7 project

Bro, actually there r more problems than u know. I hav tried to fix it once - coudnt understand the ril issue, lockscreen bug gave rise to new bugs, ie, wifi bluetooth not working - i think its all as it was made from old version of cm11 that was buggy. Making new is the best idea - as also using others work without permissiom n supporting/using banned members work on xda is prohibited
This project is open for everyone - n anyone can start it i m not taking any rights to it but if u guys want my version u need to wait n be paitient cuz currently i m having some problems with my laptop

Guys good news for my version - I m getting a new laptop which will be delivered on the 4th of july - I consider i will restart the project then. Even then i will keep trying on my old laptop for then

Hello im done making miui v7 patch rom

And i flashed it boots .. but it gives lots of fcs im tying to fix

i dont know about ril if it was working
