"that's what she said" :D

no but seriously i thought i would love having this big screen but man its tough to handle most of the time. i have large hands also. I came from 5.5 inch and thought no problem but im seriously thinking of selling it now. its a great phone though it works great but sometimes bigger isn't always better no matter what women say

my hands get sore holding it sometimes. just the weight is crazy heavy coming from my opo. im not complaining so don't flame me im just making my own observation after having the phone a while.

i got a great deal on the phone so dont think ill lose any money but think im gonna pass and head back to 5.5 range. i think that's the money spot.

anyone else think this after getting the phone?

How long have you had the phone? I thought of returning it after a couple of days and I have what people call long "pianist fingers", but eventually got used to it. Now I think it's the perfect size and I can't go any lower than this.

I felt exactly the same when I first had a 5 inch phone, and then a 5.3 inch phone. It's a matter of getting used to, but I do have to concede that this is a whole new ball game here.

Max 2 is semi tablet, n i like it ?. For some people this phone is too large and "yes" it is, haha. But the battery is worthy compared to other phone in the market.

haha nice thread :D looking forward to using my mi max 2 as my daily driver :) for now, im still on my huawei mate 8 and i already thought THAT was a huge phone. its funny to see the looks on people's faces when i get it out of my pocket. now, next to the mi max it almost looks tiny at "only" 6 inches lol.
too bad i wont have time to properly set up the mi max 2 until this sunday, but thats alright, special xmas present to me then :)

ill be curious to see what the handling will be like! when i got the mate 8 i thought it was too large for one hand handling, nowadays i use it regularly with just one hand. with the mi max 2 though i think i might be scared of dropping it with only one hand :/ [emoji14]

idk i dont think i thought about how much more that 1 inch was gonna be.

"that's what she said"

sorry didn't mean for this to sound so dirty :D

Yes, 6 " phone is better to handle with one hand and also big screen . As I'd used nexus 6 which is 6 " phone. I'll sell this mi max 2 after redmi note 5 released. Mi max 2 is for dual hand use not for single hand use.

Are you using a case? I found the same before my gel case came... my hands were getting sore but with a gel case its' barely thicker and it's so comfortable to hold. Spend a few bucks to get a clear gel case(if you have the white/gold ) and I bet you'll change your mind. I admit there is one pair of jeans i no longer wear because it had small pockets but for this screen realestate and battery life it's worth it!!!

im using my old opo again while i sell my mi max and wow such much easier to hold lol

just too much for me but i can see why the phone is so appealing to others. i gave it a shot at least.

I absolutely love the size but I also got the biggest tablet I could find too. I carry two phones the mate 10 and an iPhone 8+. I got this more or less to play with but I can't seem to put it down I dropped my mate 10 sim in it after getting it set up. I think I'll test drive it today and tomorrow. Sunday I will be at a football game so I'll stick with my regular set up.

In the beginning, yes, it feels big, and may have a hint of regret of buying it. But after keep using it, I'm used to it, and the rest of of the 5.5/5.7 inchers now feel too small.

I'm very content and happy with the Mi Max 2. Despite it's size, it is extraordinarily slim and feels premium, and has all the extra features I need, like the IR, Stereo speakers, power efficient 625 snapdragon, good camera, good speakers, massive battery with relaxed runtime, and full HD screen... among other features. I can live with the lack of NFC.

I can easily place it in my working pants pockets, no problems with jeans pockets too ( but I don't wear tight jeans either).

This all coming from a guy with average sized hands.

couldnt agree more. totally fell in love with that huge display real estate and that everlasting battery life :) ive gotten used to the size pretty quickly and although its a bit tighter in pant pockets than before its no biggie. ive been using the mi max 2 for 16 days now and on average i have to charge it every three days (!), with an average screen on time (SOT) of 18.5 hours :D love it, and already looking forward to what the mi max 3 will bring to the table ;)

I wouldn't want to go smaller than this 6.4" now that I'm used to it. I stream sporting events on it now, dont' even bother with my tablet. I go 2 days between charging typically with heavy use. It's certainly an eye catcher, around here it's often referred to as a 'tv' that i'm carrying :)

I came from Mate 8 too. Mi Max 2 have perfect size for me. I hope Mi Max 3 to be 7 inches. [emoji23]
https://www.gsmarena.com/7inch_disp...ry_rumored_for_xiaomi_mi_max_3-news-28850.php
that should be quite nice ;) but beware, if rumours are true xiaomi are gonna be switching the mi max 3 display ratio from 16:9 to 18:9, thereby greatly decreasing the overall display area at identical screen diagonale. so the 16:9 6,44" of the mi max 2 could actually end up sporting a larger area than the 7" of the 18:9 mi max 3.

perfect example: mate 8 vs. mate 10 pro. both are 6 inches in diagonale, but mate 10 pro display is actually way smaller due to it being 18:9 instead of the mate 8's 16:9!

so what im hoping for is: xiaomi increasing diagonale to 7" to make the mi max 3 display the same area/size as mi max 2 before it. add to that an even bigger battery at 5500 mAh vs. our 5300 coupled with smaller bezels and u got urself a VERY interesting phone indeed :)

oh and more performance due to upgraded soc ;)
