i noticed the same problem when i upgraded from 6 to 7 from the OTA, but now i received a NEW ONE p2 for a friend, i tested with youtube and yes.... the android 6 is louder.
Seems that the quality is higher on android 6... and at 50% of volume , idem the android 6 output is higher.
now i updated the phone to nougat and the volume lowered...... it is a nougat problem.
it would be great if someone is able to "understand" what file or configuration is changed from marshmallow to nougat, so we can change/flash this file to nougat to increase the volume as the stock rom android 6.0 which the phone arrived with
