I've been struggling to turn up any solid information for the Note5, could somebody explain the technology behind the sview covers for this model? I've seen that other models use a chip of some kind, given that the note5 does not have pins on it, nor a removable back cover, how is the sview case detected?
I'm about to buy a note5 and trying to determine how to wake the screen up with a flip cover, the sview window content is not essential as I am going to have a non-windowed cover. In the past with my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X I simply put a magnet in the right position on the cover and that was enough to wake the screen when flipping the cover open.
The information I've seen so far indicates that just a magnet may not be enough, is there perhaps another magnet on the back of the sview cover?
