I have a new Sony XR-55A80J and I have tried armv7 DirecTV stream apps from v23 through 32 and none of them work. They all give me a sign in screen. Then after I sign in I get the DirecTV Stream splash screen, and it never loads beyond that. What can I do to get it to go beyond that point?

Are you outside the US? Sounds like it. Get a VPN like ExpressVPN and use the New Jersey servers and you’ll be fine.

I'm not too far from there actually. But if it sounds like a connection issue, that's what I needed to know. As I have a custom Pi-Hole DNS setup I'll check the logs on, also, I can setup a VPN on the TV via Windscribe, see if that helps. Thanks, I'll report back with how it goes

So after changing the TV to use public DNS (avoiding my Pi-Hole DNS server) and connecting to Windscribe on the TV, both NJ and NYC servers. On v31 of the DirecTV Stream app, I get stuck at the splash screen after signing in, and on v29 of the app, after signing in I just get a black screen

I tried downloading that but I was not able to could you please post it here or anybody else please.. I have a chromecast with gtv and none of the apps work they give me the 500 error and when I tried with the directv stream ones that I have found I get an error saying I'm a directv satellite customer not a stream one.

A weird thing happened on my #2 2017 ShieldTV on Fri June 24th. I turned my devices on with my Harmony Smart remote w/hub and the DirecTV Stream app was completely missing, even from the app list in settings so I shut it off. The next day (Sat) I restarted this again and ...WA LA! it has returned. This DID NOT happen on my #1 2017 ShieldTV.

Anyone else ever experieced this happening on a streamer with the DirecTV Stream app?

Did you try rebooting the TV after you did the install? Worth a try. I have 4.0.31 on my 65A80J. It's running just fine. I'll wait for a few more updates to change it.

I didn't try that, I have certainly rebooted it since then. But I will uninstall, re-install, reboot and then try it, to start fresh.

What APK did you install? Can you link to the file? Just so I know I am getting a copy that is known to work

Went ahead and installed the latest version (4.0.32.37013) but getting the same thing. Trying other versions too, and all giving the same error. Definitely seems like there's something broken now. Anybody been able to get passed this on Shield?

Try this version.If this is not the newest version I will update when I get out the hospital,but it should work.

Not sure if this is related but last night two tvs simultaneously signed out on our nvidia shields. When trying to log back in getting 8003 code. Try again later.
