Pay app or free app? Install, set and forget? I don't want to do some convoluted method I've seen already.Works on mine. I also have to spoof the GPS in the clone app.
so instead of using adb, i found a different GPS faker app (https://apkpure.com/fake-gps/com.blogspot.newapphorizons.fakegps).
- Enable Developer mode
- install the app from the link i posted
- in developer settings, choose the Fake GPS for mock locations
- i found that you'll need the coordinates, so head over to google maps on your phone / pc and get the latitude and longitude of where you'd like to set your location
- open the Fake GPS app and search - plug in your coordinates.
- click start
- profit
Did you enable the permissions for storage and for location? Are you connected via WiFi or Ethernet?I can't seem to get any of the DTVN versions to work on my Nvidia Shield. It is brand new and running 8.0. The app sideloads with ES Explorer just fine with no errors, but I can't get past the login screen. It will never accept what I put in. Error 201. I know the info is correct as my FireTV works fine. I have changed passwords several times with the same result. Eventually, I get a message that says my account has been locked out due to too many failed log in attempts. But, I don't think that is true either as my FireTV works fine and I can log in on my PC and everything is fine.
Tonight, I opened another account with DTVN just to test a new account setup, same results. Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely, when you are inputting the email address for login, it is adding a space thereby making the login info incorrect.
For example: [email protected] com as opposed to [email protected]
There is a space added by the app after the . in the email address
That is EXACTLY what it was! Wow, that is a couple of hours of my life I will never get back. Thank you very much for pointing that out.
Try spoofing one of the files that just has HBR ( older release) . I'm thinking it maybe the ad removal stuff . But i havnt confirmed it yet.First of all, thank you so much! For the first time, I can get use DirecTV NOW to not only work on my Shield TV, but also be able to watch local stations through spoofing.
I used the newest version that was released on the 13th (the HBR root version), and I even went as far as buying the App Cloner app to spoof the location. When I first got it up, I was getting the error that it was taking longer than expected to load, eventually leading to a “retry” button loop. I thought it didn’t work, but after exiting the app and starting it back up it worked perfectly! I watched a little bit and tried the app again about half and hour later and was stuck in that loop again. I exited and restarted and it again works.
Any idea what could be causing this? I saw in the announcement of this version that you had this happen during initial installation, but it appears to be happening still afterward.

Do you think it’s worth downgrading to an older version? It seems to be that if I exit the app and restart, it just takes time to load stuff. For example, I exited it and started it up, which was default on MLB Network. It started up with audio slightly out of sync (seems to be fixed if I switch channels and go back, but no big deal), then I opened up the guide and everything said “To be announced.” I tried going to CBS, but it won’t let me click it. I have to instead go and scroll through the channels manually to reach CBS, and then it’ll load. For some reason the guide doesn’t seem to want to load at all anymore, either.

Scratch my last post. I went ahead and spoofed the most recent version before the root version. So far it worked right away and the guide seems to be working now as well.
Would you be able to do a non-ad removal root version of the newest version? Or is that not possible?
Again, thanks so much for your hard work. I’m so thrilled to finally have this setup properly!
Yeah I'll do just a HBR one but have been a bit busy lol, should have it done in the next few days lol

Thanks, that's what I needed. 2x and 4x ff and rewind work, too. When watching a recorded show, press and hold the selection button and a menu will come up, then you can arrow over to the skip ahead 15 seconds.
