You do realise this video driver is for the X1 right. The X2 driver is preinstalled & should not be meddled with especially if your X2 has the latest firmware.

Before you make a trip to SE service center & tell them you had a problem while updating your set. Did you press & hold both buttons down until you see the white SE screen?

I think that this thread is about software extracted from the xperia x2 and modified specially to run on the xperia x1, not on the xperia x2. So, would I, an xperia x1 user, have any problems (like the x2 users above this post) after installing the ATI drivers? Also, could someone xperienced p) answer the other questions I posted on the previous page?

A - The ATI drivers are the 3D accelerated drivers & perhaps 2D drivers as well to accelerate the surfaces that application draw on like 3D games, web pages & video. In the past, all these operations were done by the CPU, which used more battery power & was a lot slower.

The X1 already comes with it's own ATI drivers, installing these, IMO, did not speed things up (ie, improve 3D/Video FPS) nor does it make transitions smoother. Although I did not extensively test stability, I did not encounter any major problems. However, since it does not improve any performance, I uninstalled it.

B - You need to overwrite the XpEngine.dll that came with the X2 Panel Manager, else there will be a lot of stability issues.

C - PMLauncher is the Panel Manager scheduled Panel launcher that SE hyped about. I had a lot of stability problem with this & uninstalled it but that was before the XpEngine.dll file was uploaded here. You can try it & see if it works for you AFTER you overwrite the XpEngine.dll file.

I have three questions:
A)What are the ATI drivers and what do they do? Do they improve graphics?
B)I installed panel manager but task manager seems to have problems with it after changing panels. Is there a way to fix that problem? Fortunately I have a backupof the old panel manager. Also what's the use of XpEngine.dll? I didn't install XpEngine.dll
C)What is PMLauncher and what does it do? (I didn't install that too)

I have problem installing the no 8.

I launch the setup and keep showing to wait, i tried the PanelManager, it is working no problems found.

Do i have to install that file if yes how to overrid this problem?

i have a new phone sony ericsson xperia x2 and my wm operating system is in germany, i want to debranding and instal new wm operating system in english, and i don't know how to do it.
.........the seus update for my phone don't work, the phone hang up after download the update, the screen stay power on and i have te logo on it, must take battery out to power off the phone.

Hi from Spain, i install the SonyEricssonDialer_1.1.0.996_vulcan_generic on a omnia 2 i8000, boored of the samsung dialer and others of the market, and i think that it´s the best dialer i see , but i had a problem with s2u2, that it´s the program that i use for answer/ignore call for security, not run correctly , the bar for respond/cancell no move, because appears that run simultaneously whith SonyEricssonDialer_1.1.0.996_vulcan_generic panel of answer, i tested many options on s2u2, but not find the correct combination. can i select not respond panel of SonyEricssonDialer_1.1.0.996_vulcan_generic.

Hi I installed the xperia x2 dialer on 826x_21682_Sense_2019 rom and at a first glance it works nice but there's an issue: sense loads extremely slowly after this install and is unresponsive. I can't find the program in the add/remove programs and I don't know what files to delete and if they replaced some previous ones so that deleting them will render the actual dialer useless... .

how i said a few days ago, i think that it´s a great dialer but with the same problems of other, answer/cancell by touch at get the movil by error, then i ´m triying lock programs with use with it but it´s not good, can modify his answer screen for user for example 3 sliders, one for answer,for cancell and for silent, very insteresting.

This version 1.1.0.996 is old, was taken from X2 R1BA.

I've got problems with the Tilewave panel. I can't go to panel Manager back from it (gotta reboot) and most of the options don't work. I can't set the city, go to messages etc. Is it beacause, i don't have the X2 manager?

it actually shouldnt be laggy, cuz the hardware on both X1 and X2 are identical. did u disable the G-sensor/accelerometer function in the game menu settings? that might be causing the lag.
