OK this is strange.

In data/data I deleted the com.android.vending folder. In data/app I didn't find com.android.vending. I checked to make sure Vending.apk was capitalized in system/app, but when I reboot and wipe the dalvik I still get the regular green market.

I looked in system/app and I have com.android.vending-1.apk and Vending.apk.

Which do I delete or should I delete both and reflash?

I did exactly as the instructions said to install and no go. I am running midnight rom with gingerbread theme. I deleted the com.android.vending.apk in data/app. Then wiped cache and rebooted in recovery to flash and no go. So I extracted files and placed vending.apk in app/data and it says application no installed.

yeah that wont work which market did you install? look in system app . it should be there. you may want to delete whats in data/data also under com.android.vending. we are kind of assuming you already have has a themed market and it is just being over rode by the update

The 2.2.11 ok will try that and get back to you. Also what do I have to do to get the keyboard theme to apply

Remember they are renamed in the app drawer. You need to longpress in a text field and when input method comes up choose android keyboard

I flashed zip and still not working. I have looked threw files to see if there is somthing else hiding and nope. I did notice thought the the vending file in system app was labeld vending.apk.apk

lol. yeah thats a problem. have no idea that happened. you need to rename it to just Vending.apk. cap the v. can you post what you flashed? and which market. i have four 2.2.11

i just checked all the markets. they are labeled right. no the problem is the apk.apk you need to go in and rename it to Vending.apk then reboot. if it doesnt work just reflash . i would really like to know how that was renamed..lol
