I just flashed the 2.2.11 and it completely deleted my market! The icon is still there but it doesnt open! Too bad cuz my whole theme is Cyan colored, would have been sweet!

Ok, let me explain. First time i deleted the data/app file from market. Then flashed the first file for the themed 2.2.11 market and upon reboot the market was gone all together. Restored nand back up and just flashed the file again and nothing happened at al(no changes). Third try, i uninstalled market update from settings/apps/manage and than flashed the file. Upon reboot market again was gone altogether. Restored nand again and flashed the second file that says flash this if your having problems. This time not deleting any files or uninstalling any updates. This time it themed the market like it should but kept getting errors when opening. I did a reboot and it stopped.

Looks like you need to add some super detailed step by step instructions with pictures/screenshots for each step, as well as video instructions to go with each step then one big video with all steps together, then post it on every page. ;)

I had the same problems trying to update the solution I came up with is on pg 132 and even if it doesn't work you just wasted time which you will probably do anyway trying to figure it out

Ok finally got it after many tries and many failures. Here is how I got it to work on myn 2.2 rls5 after silent update. first I deleted everything market except market updater, flashed market 2.12 which I found with a link on op then went into es file explorer to system\app and installed vending.apk then went to tb pro and wiped data, deleted backup and uninstalled market 2.12 then still using tb pro I deleted backup, wiped data, and froze market updater then using es deleted vending.apk out of system\app again. I then rebooted in recovery and wiped cache and dalvik then again flashed market 2.12 and rebooted let phone load every thing and without opening market rebooted back to recovery and again wiped cache and dalvik then flashed black and blue market rebooted and it works ;)

I know it's long and alot to do but I tried many other things since yesterday morning and this is the only way it would work for me.

Never mind! I rebooted phone and now the market is force closing every time! I really want to get this working because it looks beautiful in the cyanogen color!
Did you clear data and cache in manage apps? If that doesnt work then i would load up a nandroid and start over from scratch.

When you start over make sure you have 2.2.7 market installed not 2.2.11 then check to make sure you only have 1 vending.apk and its in system/app only, not in data/app. If you have all that down then you just need to flash the market and you should be good to go.

I would chime in on some fixes, if you could come up with something that didn't work. Your starting to diminish my troubleshooting skills. Putting out all these mods that WORK. Thanks a lot.

(You can almost taste the sarcasm)

Not sure how I sent this??

On a more serious note, could the one's with issues installing give phone and mods info? That might help a little.

Not sure how I sent this??
