Hi guys, this is my last theme for the S4 I9505, too busy with a load of other things now..

Based on my Black Illusion theme and Black Chrome to bring you the this clean looking beautiful Black theme

Based off the great Echoe Rom V8

Instructions


Preferred Method
Must be flashed on a clean Rom with NO mods !!
A clean install of the Rom is always better.
Place on SD Card
Boot into recovery
Wipe Cache and Dalvik
Flash Black Chrome Series 2
Reboot.

To get Gmail themed you must uninstall gmail updates... To get hangouts themed you must delete the Hangouts.apk from system/app using something like root explorer and reflash the theme.

Also to keep those themed you will have to untick auto update in the playstore settings until I can theme the updated ones..

Flashed it over clean echo slim v8 , but it did not theme the play store. Can I fix this?

First see instructions in post 1, then try the following if that doesn't work...


Try a clean install of the Rom again, when the Rom boots (where you select your language, reboot into recovery and flash theme. Then when it reboots, setup your phone. That should fix the playstore and when you uninstall gmail update it should be themed..

Another way you can try, untick auto update in playstore settings, then use something like root explorer and delete gmail.apk and phonesky.apk from system/app, then reflash theme

Let me know if that fixes it, its a pain because google keeps updating their apps

Hi,
I removed phonesky and flashed it again, still not themed but when i look in system/app there is a different phonesky. Very strange!

Gmail is themed though.

Not only have to remove phonesky, but also playstore with titanium backup.

to solve the Gmail modding(only icon atm) is to replace in the ROM zip the original(or latest) with modded one.

Flashing this theme breaks your OGBatteryMod from working. Here's Black Chrome Series 2 -themed SystemUI.apk that has OGBatteryMod. Just flash it and you're good to go!
No losing ROM functionality or themed Status bar.

Here i Am Pal,

ok tried flashing your Gmail2.apk(renaming in com.google.android.gm-1) as this is the name in system.

Nothing, it force closes and it slowes down my system even force closing it
Flashing back original modded by me everything is fine....

Please help master, i really want black Gmail.....

That's the name of Gmail in data/app ( when you download from the market ).Try locating any and all gmail apps in data/app, and system/app, and delete/uninstall.. Depending on the rom Dev, it could be named Gmail, gmail, Gmail2, gmail2, and GMail.. Make sure all traces are gone, especially from data/app.. Flash this one again or push, and set permissions then reboot.. Good luck

nono above apk is in system/app..... Omega installs there as a system app..... so maybe that's why i keep my mods even Gmail updates.....

Will try soon again reflashing the rom with Rixsta modded version....

interesting will be flash only xml involved to make it black to see if it works

If i flash this theme over echoe v9 i get a fc when i open contacts. On echoe v8 it was all fine.

Is there a solution? I would love to keep using this theme.
