Turns out I was going about these the wrong way. For some apps its easier to look in the xmls and insert android:background="@android:color/transparent" where applicable instead of doing image editing.
Anyway here's facebook. Uninstall your current version. You may need to remove it with root manager + reboot.
You should have all the same functionality, nothing except the image files were changedI can't open the engadget app from the modded widget. Is it supposed to be that way??

I did a metamorph here for Sense roms. If you don't have one you have to manually update your framework-res.apk and com.htc.resources.apk using the images in the zip file.Off topic lol, but can you make a black notification/status bar, sir?
