Oh that's my X8. The screenshot is of my dialpad modification. Emperor, you gotta mod the Contacts app to achieve that. No other way.
PM me for details.

Hmmmm... what about adding a thin grey line to top of dial_num_0_blk.png to dial_num_star_wht.png and/or phone_dial_num_0_blk.png to phone_dial_num_star_wht.png?

Wow man! This is by far the best theme I've ever tried (btw it would be the last, 'cause I'll never try another).
It's amazing.
There's just one tiny detail:
During a call, the 3 buttons "add call, end, dialing pad" are too big
I can't see the number behind.
If you could fix this, it would be perfect.
Thx a lot

You are right. I will add this to the to-do-list in post #3

..... and it's for sure a .9.png .... *sigh*

The problem is that the buttons aren't stick together, there is some spacing. All I did was remove that space.

I'm allmost there

The PNGs that are in question is:

phone_btn_in_call_main_disable.9.png
phone_btn_in_call_main_disable_focused.9.png
phone_btn_in_call_main_normal.9.png
phone_btn_in_call_main_pressed.9.png
phone_btn_in_call_main_selected.9.png

They draws the 3 top buttons. If you look inside other themes, the filenames will have similar names (maybe start or end differently).

The lower 3 buttons are drawn by 10 .9.png: phone_btn_in_call_switch_ .9.png

The black line/dots in the .9.png has to be ajusted a little to make the smooth transition of button-backgrounds. Also i'm not satisfied with buttons so close to text (phone number) yet

For comparrison see screenshots below. If you draw horiziontal lines, you will notice caller-image is a little higher on the system-default.

Left = before
Middle = now (work in progress)
Right = system (no theme)

Just for the sake of it, i will make a step by step, with screen shots etc. of the fix-process - just to put some fuel on all you newbies who want to join in and make something of your own. You don't need special image editing skills or tools, but you need a clear head, LOL

What do ou mean?
Is it that simple? Does it only take to rezise those png?
Can I do that and then replace them? But they are inside an .apk, right? I've read some threads about compiled, but never made it.

Thx

Redraw icons in notification bar
It has for a long time been noticed, that the icons in the notificationbar are small. Especially the ones with small letters like 3G and H.
It's my plan to redraw the icons from the stock Xperia S framework.
I like the icons like that. They don't take too much space and the screen is small

Editing .9.PNG
Yes, it's almost that simple, but editing .9.PNGs you must be carefull about what's in the 1px border. Here the app that uses that PNG gets information about where to put text and other elements inside the object that uses the .9.PNG and wich parts are strechable and not. messing this up will not end as expected, like eg. the transition from light to dark from top to buttom as shown :p

Very soon... some days from now (today I will go and se The Hobbit), I will write a small step-by-step starting from getting a default .9.PNG out of SystemUI.apk, framework-res.apk or the single apk it self, like Contacts.apk, understanding the 1-px-border and how to use that information to create your own .9.PNG. - also what tools to use :victory:

Icons in statusbar
Thanks for your input and consern. The statusbar will not be bigger, only the small letters in some icons will be more clear to read :fingers-crossed:

please don't, at least not in the transparent theme. I think it's awesome like it is.
Don't worry, it won't.

Sorry for being so annoying, but I haven't had time to learn how to fix it myself :(.
I think it lacks contrast on the numbers of the number keyboard:
thx
The theme is not theming that numpad, but maybe it should. What's the name of that app?

Fixed Phone.apk (com_android_phone) LDPI

Fixed LDPI errors for Phone.apk (com_android_phone) - nev version 13 ready for download :good:

  • Edited .9.PNGs for buttons to end call etc
  • Fixed the transparency transition for the "normal" state button, that's not easy when you can't se the transition :silly:
  • Transformed backgrounds (grey and red) into .9.PNGs (they were not .9.PNG before)

Enjoy

[Q] Contact picture frameborder

I was just about to fix the little black line under the small contact-list-pictures

that's these 4 files:

quickcontact_badge_pressed.9.png
quickcontact_badge_small_pressed.9.png
quickcontact_badge_small_unpressed.9.png
quickcontact_badge_unpressed.9.png

I was wondering if there was a specific reason why the theme contact frame is not like the one from Xperis S stock SemcPhone.apk (call screen as seen in post #53) and framework-res.apk (contack list as above)

Here the frame looks like this, with shadow that makes the picture look 3D:

Should I try to implement the Xperia S stock picture frame?
