i wish someone can do on this for h815..i have a bootloop h815..i dont want to let go on my beloved g4....

Anyone care to answer? What will happen if I flash the "disable dual core" to my H818P that does not have the bootloop problem?
What wrong happen when I flash the "disable dual core" to my H818P on the Genisys 5.0 UX v20d ?Oh sorry friends, I did not notice it was the same version for MM.
CPU is one core 1 and that 5 core is offline all. H818p very lag and stuck.

The original core fix had two steps, enable one core than root and use an app to enable other 3. That is why I was interested in a MM solution. So looks like all solutions here include only the first step made to save things from memory.

i used lgup to disable the 2 big core without success. Tryed with the file "LGH815AT-00-V20a-GLOBAL-COM-NOV-02-2015+00_RECOVERY_6.0.tot" but i have an Error 0x2000 with Lgup. i tryed also modifing the the tot file looking wit winhex the cpu 4 and cpu5 and modifing the echo from 1 to 0.
@jskasia: i'm trying to debloat few apps that i don't use. I can extract the SYSTEM.IMG from KDZ file but unable to extract from your TOT file. Can you help me in converting TOT to .IMG file? thanks

That's right, the big problem for the small TOT files for disabling dual cores are having problem working only one core and the fix apk is not free, and only working on rooted device.
The only solution I can figure out here is to flash the v20e base (818p only) and then the small size TOT which should revive the phone from infinite boot loop problem. After that you might use the given TOT (4GB) with the modified system files. This should enable all 4 cores and keep 2 core disabled. However, I cannot confirm this method is working or not because my phone just changed the new mainboard and haven't had the hardware issue yet. Many people in my local community reported that it is working and not working.
My hypothesis is that the fault occurs differently so this method only works for some people. Furthermore, the succeed is up to the experience of users in following the guide too.
For others who are reading and trying to modify the setting themselves. If you installed the rom using the given TOT mod, you can simply pull the system partition out of you phone, modify it, and re-flash the modified system using the method2 on the OP. Please read this thread below on how to pull the system from your phone.

For other model you can use the small TOT which will modify the boot partition to disable the core with problem, and if it works you should be able to pull your own system modify the init.qcom.post_boot.sh to re-enable 4 cores and remain turning dual core off.

I am still not sure how to flash small tot, I am rooted but my g4 won't turn on until freezed or baked? I just want to start fine and then edit files after booting to disable/enable cores
You rooted, so you are running 5.1 Lollipop right ?
All you need is to extract the zip file given on the OP.
Go to the LOS (Lollipop OS) directory and select tot associated with your model, then flash it using LGUP should 'UPGRADE'.
Done.

I did that all and it work after factory reset. My H818p is number 505. But my friends is number 607 not working? I don't know why it have.

I got 505 with this rom, my antutu score was 74,xxx, but my friend with 605 got only 68,xxx. Few months later, my phone went bootloop and replaced the motherboard of 609. I flashed this rom right after it went back from LG, and it got 68,xxx score from the new MB.
As mentioned some people in my local community able to fix their devices while many got a negative result.
One of my friend reported that his device without the boot loop problem. Successfully bring his device 4 cores on and 2 off using this rom, however sometimes it went back on 6 cores. There are still more to be explored.
