@jskasia can you make the best rom5.1 and set up app kernel toolkit or kernel auditor. This app can enable 3 core after run tot file. Maybe we can keepg4 longlife

Prerequisite:

Install all required LGG4 drivers http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G4/LGUnitedMobile_Win_Driver_Ver_3.14.1.exe

Installation Method 1: TOT
- Open LGUP flash the base KDZ with the 'Refurbish' option
- Then re-flash again using the TOT file with the 'Upgrade' option
- If you want to backup data after the bootloop, flash the TOT first to boot your device up and backup your stuff.
- If you update the new mod on the same base just only flash the TOT file, no need to re-flash the KDZ again
If your device is bootloop, enter download mode before flash it with the LGUP

Installation Method 2: IMG (Thai Guide HERE)

Step-by-step instructions for method 2:

Plugged in the cable to connect the phone with PC.

Click ALLOW on phone to connect to the PC.

Open LGUP and select UPGRADE

Browse for KDZ file

Change from UPGRADE to REFURBISH (this will erase ALL your data please backup first)

Click START and wait until it finish

Finish the setting up your google account on the phone

Connect usb to the PC again

Copy system.img file into your phone's INTERNAL STORAGE (4.xx GB) using windows explorer and close windows explorer

(Keep the cable connected) Open LGUP and select UPGRADE and click START (Don't choose REFURBISH, it will erase all your data)

Wait until the phone reboot into download mode and the GREEN COMX appears on the phone screen (Meanwhile LGUP should be at 9%) then PULL the cable immediately (if you are late it will start to re-flash your phone. In this case, just let it finish and start again don't pull the cable or your may hard brick you phone).

Close LGUP

Re-plug in the cable

Start Send_Command.exe \\.\COMX where X is appeared on the phone (Same method as rooting the phone)

The # will appear on your command prompt

Type command #PRINT (IT WILL NOT RESPONSE HERE, DONT BE PANIC!)

Stop the program by Cltr+C

Start Send_Command.exe \\.\COMX again

When # appears ,type command #id (if it is successful you should see text starting with "uid=(0)root gid=(0)root" )

Copy and paste this text into the command # dd if=/data/media/0/system.img bs=8192 seek=55296 count=529920 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0 (experimental version change system.img -> system1.img )

Press enter and it will work for few minutes then the command # will appear again

Type command #LEAVE to exit the program

Unplug the cable and pull out the battery from the phone then restart it

Your are done!

Note: updating the new version of system.img, if the based-KDZ is identical, just skip to step 9.

Post install mod:
You can further your battery performance by disabling Fast dormancy and Carrier Aggregation. Please see guide on post #87

Hi... am on V20d 10th Nov build. Should I upgrade to v20e 30th Nov build or this new v20h build for longer SOT?

Sorry friend, I cannot answer precisely, they should have very similar SOT.
While 20h got the most recent security patch with the stock appearance,
20e got the most update appearance with UX 5.0.

Theoretically, you can go back and forth between version using 'UPGRADE',
So you try and report back here.

PS. I might replace the log screen with which of v20e version. That might fix your problem on 540 dpi.

@jskasia, 540dpi app drawer from 5x6 is nice. I use nova launcher replace UX 5.0 launcher and place all icon to home screen and remove app drawer.

Not working method 1.
I choose tot file from LOS folder installed successful, phone reboots and still lg logo and in left top corner flashing blue indicator and that's all... wont boot up android fully.

When I choose tot file from MOS folder, start install and installation stops at 9%, pop up error: 0x2000 secure device, but unsecure image. What's wrong??? Please help

I dont undertand why LOS tot file installed successfully while android version of my phone is 6. But tot file from MOS folder unable to install.. very strange. Please explain how to restore data from phone

You have bootloop aren't you? Flash kdz file with refurbish 6.0 then flash tot file MOS. Becarefull install all driver lg tools. Be smart, don't like stupid guy i meet some day.

yes I have bootloop. But I first want to save my data in phone. If I flash kdz my data will wipe out.

What suggestions?

I think all drivers and dll installed correctly because when I flash tot file from LOS folder, flashed successfully, when I choose tot from MOS flashing stops at 9% with error: 0x2000 secure device, but unsecure image.

What link of correct kdz file?

Yes, too much. UX 4.0 app drawer should be 5x5.
