I really appreciate your work. H818P needs more custom modding, so jealous with h815 they had CM custom rom

I see, there are few works, that is why I posted this thread. The huge problem is that the method is quite complicated.
We cannot edit a particular point, but we must modify the image, make a new system, and flash the whole.
On the other hand, on the lollipop, all of the mods I made is easily done by the intermediate users on the rooted system.

As we are able to modify system the way we want now (as long as there is no root involve), some developers might working on it to port some of the existing roms or even making their own, hopefully.

You are right! I just noticed about this yesterday. v20d has been fixed the QuadRooter Vulnerabilities.

V20d is newer than V20e. In fact, there are from the different region (ESA and CIS). Except the security update, I am currently testing to see if there is an improvement in term of battery or functions, and also compatibilities too.

1. Which KDZ version are you using, please download the version given, I had used for a while and there is no problem.
2. Regarding Votle, the based v20e does't support Volte
3. Please give me the link to kdz you use if it is not v20e, I am interesting in Volte.

How about the first version, did you experience any problem? If not, please try this.
1. Re-install the kzd in refurbish.
2. Install system1.img and test if there is no problem
3. Copy system1 into internal storage and do flash it with dd command again.

This is exactly the same method I did when upgrade from old to new (no hard reset)

You mean in step 2 to install system.img (old) and test if same problem happens. Then I flash system1.img with dd command again (step 3), both steps using the "Open LGUP and select UPGRADE " step and forth, right?

Correct!

The Ims package was replaced in modifications,but both systems have the same ims package. So if you experience the problem, both versions should give the same results.

This mod doesn't have Bluescreen filter/Read mode or something like that? could you please make it possible? even rn i use an app that works like that, but implementing to the system would be better :good:

I have seen this kind of feature in Oneplus but not in G4. I am a kind of modder not a developer though. If you can find the way to add it on the rooted LP or MM version of G4, please let me know.

UPDATE on LG IMS issue: after I disable any of the SIM CARDs on Settings -> Dual Sim menu, the LG IMS force close STOPS instantly. If I activate any of the SIM CARD, the force closes returns. So the issue is related to SIM CARD activation. Do you think there's something that can be done regarding this?

So bad, it looks like the carrier environment does not support. This should be fixed on next version.

Two versions are very similar excepts the change mentioned. I am not sure if the latest has a slight better SOT due to the base v20d. Nevertheless, you have to re-flash the whole new system, if you don't want to loss data and configuration you can stay using v20e.

Interesting...I have never heard that before. My point is to improve SOT which can be done by debloating and some tweaks, and definitely, use the base rom that has the best SOT. You can suggest that to me, thanks. :good:
