My testing shows that the v20e has a slight higher score.

Interesting...I have never heard that before. My point is to improve SOT which can be done by debloating and some tweaks, and definitely, use the base rom that has the best SOT. You can suggest that to me, thanks. :good:

im on v20d genisys, n my lte/4g works just well...

if i want to go to v20d dated 27 [the newer], can i directly flash it [with cmd prompt]
or i need to flash the base 1st [the stock v20d kdz] ?

Yes you can. Please make sure you choose UPGRADE not REFURBISH.

People usually use Screen on time as a battery durability reference. You can see on Battery usage -> see battery use details and tap the "Screen", it will show your screen on time duration. For heavy user SOT is their reference because battery usage in general included Phone Idle, which is it can be manipulated and it can be higher due to Phone Idle

Im in Indonesia, using Indosat Ooredo carier, APN setting using auto setting when insert the simcard.

About the flashing,
so i can just flash the newer system.img, without flash the kdz base 1st?
do you mean by choose UPGRADE, is when using the LGup for showing the green COM port?

It is not that hard mate. As you installed this rom, you already got drivers and adb command located in the same directory as Send_Command.exe.

All you need to do is plugged in the device.
Then type
$adb devices
$adb devices //second times
Then
$adb shell dumpsys display | grep mBaseDisplayInfo
Then
$adb shell wm density 640 && adb reboot
Finished

Your request took me long long time to find out.

I have done the test based on my daily usage which are web surfing, chatting with friends, checking facebook, taking some photos and voice calling.

The SOT is around 3.5 hours. While it has run for over 26 hours, I still got 19 percent left.

I am not sure if the long period of phone idle will increase the SOT because the longer the phone standby means the higher battery consumed by off-screen time. Therefore, the on-screen time may be reduced not increased.

Note: I installed the dangerous version (with file journaling turn off) on v20d base.

yes you got the point, the longer your phone idle = battery consumed not increased the SOT because your phone's screen logically turned off. You can get 20hrs on Battery Usage but for Screen on Time might be lower or just average.
Anyway I just re-flashed genisys but with v20d base. let see how it works

The file journaling is disabled in the dangerous modification (my unpublished version).
This might cause the system unstable in case the battery is pulled out or doing a hard reset.
I am testing this on my own risk, and I don't think this is to be published.

1. Yes, these systems are built for the h818p model.
2. There is not marked improvement so far. Please try and help to report us.
