Have you check the security context '$ls -lZ' ?The permissions are okay (rw- r-- r--), I did check them. Is there some other thing I need to do?
What should I use instead of "xxxx:xxx:xxx" exactly? It keeps saying invalid context when I type "uHave you check the security context '$ls -lZ' ?
If it is '?', set it to the right value using '$ chcon xxxx:xxx:xxx build.prop' .
That's weird, did you mean this ?What should I use instead of "xxxx:xxx:xxx" exactly? It keeps saying invalid context when I type "ubject_r:system_file:s0".
$chcon u:object_r:system_file:s0 build.prop
chcon --reference=/path/to/existingfile /path/to/a/newfile
Yes, I meant that. XDA made an emoji out of it for meThat's weird, did you mean this ?
If it did not work there maybe some problem with you Linux configuration. Can you try this instead ?Code:$chcon u:object_r:system_file:s0 build.prop
Code:chcon --reference=/path/to/existingfile /path/to/a/newfile
I am on 11/4 update v20E. I have reported this problem before and today i experienced it in a worse way.
Original issue :
when phone is idle, screen is off and locked. an incoming call or an alarm triggers the screen on but you are unable to interact with the UI until 3~4 seconds.
Worse condition:
So it happened twice that I woke up to my alarm after a few hours of no activity on phone . so phone was on deep sleep. when the alarm went off. I was unable to turn it off no matter what. The UI would not let me interact with it. So i had to use power button to reboot the phone. It looks like this issue is caused by deeper sleep i think ?
Nope. haven't installed any software that controls app management , battery management or messes with scheduling in anyway.Did you install any kind of software like Greenify with agressive doze enabled ?
I reflashed the kdz but did not apply the new system image and the touch problem isn't there. Have you tried to reproduce the issue as I mentioned?Nope. haven't installed any software that controls app management , battery management or messes with scheduling in anyway.
While the v20d base does not support genisys 2.0, the system of V20e has the most recent update mod except the look. Please feel free to stay on either version because they are similar though. Will V20e be updated with the updates in V20d?
Sorry, I haven't experienced the problem you mentioned.I reflashed the kdz but did not apply the new system image and the touch problem isn't there. Have you tried to reproduce the issue as I mentioned?
I see. Does this mean that V20d UI is not Genisys 2.0? And V20e already have the latest mods on the latest update, except AOSP icons? I am a bit confused on those updates. So now I decided to stay at V20e as per my understanding, has the latest updates including Genisys 2.0 UI. Correct me if I am wrong there.
I am a bit confused with the updates since, the latest is on V20d. But as per OP, it's the same as V20e update except the AOSP icons.
A confirmation is very helpful. Thanks in advance.
Finally. Thanks a lot mate! I understand it better now. For the V20d, there is a additional mod namely the AOSP icons + 6 toggles, right? I am on v20e and they are not present.Okay, I see your point.
- Both base (without the mod) are different as following aspects:
1) Only v20e has the search menu in setting.
2) Only v20d has recording function while taking on the phone.
3) Andriod security patch in v20e is April 2016 while v20d is August 2016 (Quadrooter fixed).
4) v20e released for AME, ESA region, v20d released for EU,CIS region (Some user have problem with IMS forced close when install the wrong base, others see no difference)
- So far I cannot notice the visual difference between Genisys theme 1.8 and 2.0. The performance are almost the same so far.
- The the version with the longer SOT got the lower in benchmark score, but it did not affect user experience at all. However, this might be vary on the life time of battery, user behavior, etc.,.)
