Sorry I have a noob question. Can I flash the boot animation via recovery? Thank you.

yeah, the boot animation is in update.zip format however i've found that there are multiple ROM's out there that don't use the same method to replace the boot animation

there's 2 methods i've found so far.

one is a regular add the bootanimation.zip to data/local (thats for stock ROMs apparently and it doesn't replace it, more like overlays it so it doesn't remove or permanently replace the boot animation)
the other is to replace the bootanimation.zip inside system/media which is the method i've chosen for this one to work and luckily it did, but this method is also permanent which is why i said in bold to "back up before installing"

its even got the Thunder clap sound

the Droid X users somehow confused the boot sound with the VZW logo bootup audio called "Tranquility" which is very annoying to hear over and over again since its like the old Verizon ringtone but i must say, it sounds better than the old one. it seems LTE is the rebirth for Verizon to make everything old a-new.

yes, just install via Recovery with the .zip on your sd card

be sure that you have ClockModRecovery or AmRA recovery

sorry, i'm only good at designing the themes, not coding them...
there are rosie mods out there that do the remaping but you have to theme those mods
can't install a theme and then install the mod, whichever is the most recent mod that was installed takes over. since its basically replacing graphics inside of an .apk and then you have the mod that remaps it is also that same .apk so only when we get mods up and running on the new sense 2.0 on ThunderBolt/HD/Z roms it will be easier since skins install as a selectable option that can be turned back to stock, it doesn't necessarily replace the graphics, which is why remaping mods should work in the sense that you can install any type of skin and retain all your mods (so long as the skin is a skin and not a replacement of the originals like it is in this case)

i've been looking for rosie remaps and different setups to skin though, if you can suggest some it would be appreciated

Yeah, I understand. I was looking at these remaps:

And that would be great. It doesn't remap the right to Web Browser but it should be fine. Actually, theming the Rosie from Myns Warm 2.2 would be good,as it is already remapped the way I want it

WinAMP skin project

This app has recently become my audio player of choice thanks to built in bluetooth controls so i can use the app with my steering wheel controls in my Camaro, so i've brought my attention to making the app look more like my themes, hence the progress i made in the screenshots below.

Note: Screenshot 3 and 5 are showing the buttons as there pressed.

Once I fix the widget stretching problem i'll release this
only problem is, i can't edit .9png images since i can't get Draw9 to work from the SDK
it won't open . . . has some sort of java problem
so if any dev out there can help me with that, i'll release this to the XDA members.

Why WinAMP doesn't have skin support like its desktop counterpart is beyond me

Im running an Evo 4G with an Azrael X rom on it. I been trying to flash these clocks to my phone but it won't do it. Now the developer of the rom makes no mention if the rom is deodexed or not, but lemme get this straight....if the rom is not deodexed it won't flash any of these clocks thru recovery?

it will flash but it won't replace the .apk if its not a de-odexed ROM

since each .apk is encrypted to be linked to a seperate .odex file
for example on a rom that is not de-odexed it would look like this in the file structure.

HtcClockWidget.apk
HtcClockWidget.odex

it will have .odex file for every .apk in the system/app folder

Hello NCX, great work you are doing with these clocks and themes. I was wondering if by any chance you can make the Red Merge Rosie with Lockscreen Blue instead of the red. I looked on the main page and only saw it in red and acid green. Thanks and please keep up the great work.

I made a blue themed one for both Tron and the Blue rosie i did.

but i will probably not be continuing development for the Droid Incredible, I will be moving development to the HTC ThunderBolt shortly after its rooted and a skin solution is made.

Root may not even be needed this time around to use my themes, however if the clock is going to be themed, it will require root.

I will still have a Droid Incredible so you never know, i might be able to somehow make my themes available to both the Incredible and ThunderBolt.

The wait is finally over, and its coming March 17th.

Also, I DO plan on also making themes for the new HTC tablet coming to market after its available because i plan on buying one. I have NOT bitten into the rotten fruit nor will I ever do that. HTC all the way!

The Rosie on these mods wont work on z roms. The clocks should work though...
