Fergie,
I loved your original Color Mod, decided to try the white one, knowing I could go back to orginal with pink time. Added transparent sliders, and really like them much better than red/green.

Anyway, the one thing I cannot stand and cannot get rid of is the big Sprint at the top left of screen. I tried reflashing the original, it came back with all white time. I tried reflashing wiping cache and Dalvic, still came back with big Sprint on top.

I don't care what color the time is now, I just want that Sprint gone. I like the clean look of nothing there except notifications, but I really don't want this Sprint glaring at me!! That's one of the things I love about this phone, no Sprint bloatware - no Nascar, no names - so really don't want to see this.

Wish I hadn't kept playing, thought I could reflash back but not working. Any help???
Yea I agree it has become sort of a cluster fu*k of sorts here. I'll do my best to reorganize everything soon... This is my fault for not reserving other posts after the OP

Anyway, if you have the Sprint banner and want to change it to something else, or make it empty entirely, refer to this post and download the er.zip

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17790743

Extract the zip and open the eri.xml with a text editor, scroll through it and change the three parts where it says EriText. You can change it to whatever you want.

Then copy/paste it into your /data folder on your phone. Change permissions to "everything" using Root Explorer or Es File Explorer
Should look like this:

Then either reboot your phone or toggle Airplane mode to see changes

Thanks Fergie, I had read that but don't think I'm that good. I ended up reflashing the rom, added Pete's dated 9/15 and happy. I would probably
screw this up - haha

I the transparent sliders just that, doesn't affect anything else, just changes the slider? Didn't know if that jumped into the top bar. I will live with red/green, not that big a deal, the transparent just looks better with some backgrounds.

You are doing a great job, it works and looks great.

Thank you! If you can wait until tonight I will post a version for you. Without the banner, with transparent sliders, and with pink clock and date?

And your on 2.3.7 stock?

Yes, I'm running Pete's deodexed 2.3.7. Loving this mod with that rom, running better than cm7 which is wild.

Starting to like the pink, I run bright wallpapers which is why the whole mod looks so good, especially after adjusting Voodoo's colors.

And thanks so much, I will push the button again without your asking!!!

About above, if sliders work independently, meaning do nothing but change the colors and don't add anything else, just say so, and I will do that.

That is the reason I suggested a quick listing at the top of thread, people can pick and choose what they want, and not create anymore work for you. I know this isn't easy, that is why I don't feel like experimenting with the other mod. If I screw it up, have to reflash rom and other things to clean up after my goofs!!

So I'm running the deodexed 2.3.7 and Everytime try to flash this I get thrown into an infinite bootloop and have to pull my battery. Any advice?

Mine just started doing the same. Using same download I used originally.

Here is my setup. Im running deodexed 2.3.7, Matrix 7.5 and the 9/15. I updated, got the white (hate the Sprint), so only way to get rid of it was reflash 9/15. Wouldn't take, so I ended up reflashing 2.3.7.

Rom Manager said new Clockwork available, so I updated to 5.0.2.0 via ADB. What is wierd is when I go to Rom Manager, it shows Current (under Flash CM as 3.1.0.1, latest is the above. The top of bar sas v4.5.0.1, but when I boot in, have blue writing with 5.0.2.0. I don't know if this is causing the problem.

I cannot load this, endless boot, pull battery to get to recovery. I have wiped, wiped (3 times),reflashed rom (radio, kernel, etc.), and as soon as I flash this, loop.

I'm posting this because I cannot find a way to load this, don't know if its your program (I dont think so), or something to do with what CM reads above. And
since I used ADB, that should be the best, I can do everything else in there.

So after 5 2.3.7 reflashes, 2 restores, I cannot load. I'm going into this detail just in case someone else has same problem or see anyway around it.

Loved it, but something in my phone must have gone haywire with Clockwork

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. I just got done working, gotta head to class then crash. When I wake up I'll take a look at the problem. I **think** there may be an issue with one of the downloads. So once I wake back up I'll test them out and post my results later on tonight

Ok so if your on the stock 2.3.7 deodexed ROM, try flashing this version of ColorMod. I made this just for you :) LOL

It has:
-Semi-Transparent stock sliders
-Pink and Blue's put back in statusbar
-**NO SPRINT IN STATUSBAR!!**

DOWNLOAD HERE

Wipe cache/dalvik-cache and flash in recovery

Enjoy!

I hope your recovery is ok.. I personally use this recovery here

If you have adb just install like you did with the updated recovery, or use Flash Image by Joey Krim. Rename whatever recovery you want to recovery.img and use the app to flash it. Do it twice because sometimes it doesn't stick after the first time

Thank you SO much, I cringed when I downloaded before I hit the load button, then sweated the reboot but came up perfect! I had used the exact same dl's from your post saved on phone, very weird

I have no idea what blew up the phone, that is why I gave you all the boring info on my end to help determine where the problem was. I went google voice in between, never again, it took over my phone. Great concept, bad exec.

I had also update cw, so will read about those. Nshows funky on phone but operates under 5.0.2.0. It did ask for binary update the other day and again after I rebooted after reloading. Not sue why

But back to you, thanks again (I pushed e button). Theme is fun, many are subdued, but these colors with voodoo controls show off the beautiful screen.

You should post this flashy theme under show us your nexus. Saw your other one there:D

Any chance I could get a transparent slider with green/blue buttons?
I'm running 2.3.7 rooted stock deodexed and your 9-25 updated theme and I love it.

Sure can. Want anything done to the statusbar? Like the colors I usually put or something different? What about the carrier label or even a carrier logo?

I like how everything is layed out as it is. Just want some color on the slider. If you have something cool you want to try with the sprint logo I'm down with that. Hell even a classic sprint logo in matching blue with the rest of the themewould be tight.

Hey sorry to do this to you but we have a horrible thunder storm here and my Internet connection is just awful so I'll have this ready for you by Sunday afternoon.

In the meantime if you want to take a look at some of the carrier logo's and pick out one you want.

HELP!

Hey man, I like your theme so much and I wanted to use it so badly but unfortunately I wasn't able to get it work as it kept on getting into the boot loop whenever I flashed it.

kindly refer the details below:
Model : Samsung Google Nexus S i9023
Android version : 2.3.7
Kernel version : [email protected] #6
ROM : NSCollab-1.0.50
Build no. GWK74

My instruction:
Step 1 : wipe (data/cache/dalvik)
Step 2 : Install specific ROM and reboot the system
Step 3 : reboot back to recovery and flash "pete-crespo-colormod-9-15-update.zip"
Result : BOOT LOOP

It's so annoying and I couldn't figure it out myself.
Looking forward for your advice & guide.
Thanks in advance.

Well, like the title of the thread and OP state, this theme is for the stock 2.3.7 ROM as well as BuglessPete's GPA17. Did not make it for NSColab
