Ok how about this. I added a 2 pixel transparency faded to the bar instead of red. Against a black background it gives it a grey look but blends better in my opinion. Like I said earlier, having a solid black bar looks incomplete. The problem with the notification bar is there is not much room to work with because the icons rest on the bottom of the bar.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Personally I love that red bar it spruces things up and blends well.

Not sure why you feel that way. I think black like the rest of the bar is best.

You have done so much work in so many other areas, that sometimes (in some areas) less is more.

I think you are trying to hard here to spruce it up when it doesn't call for it IMO.




Oh and if I had to pick between the red and the light grey I would go with the grey.

If I get a decent amount of donations for this theme I will port Rule The Air to a blue theme. The only reason I mention donations is because I have spent a ridiculous amount of time on this theme and a buck or two from people will make me feel that my time has been worth it

btw this will be my last donation plug.

yep! The dinc is based on red. I'll stay with the first beta. Besides there is a trans bar avail if i wanted that.

I'm actually becoming rather fond of the transparency fade one (which gives it kind of a gray look on a dark background). To me it kind of makes it look less busy. I am going to leave all 3 choices up and update them with the theme as well so people have a choice with what one they want.

One thing I did notice is that the bottom of the status bar where it says incredible is not even, that will be fixed on the next update among other things.

Does anyone know how to change the tracer color for the unlock pattern? btw I just threw the pattern buttons together last night and didnt spend any time on them, I will make them look much better on the next update as well.

When you pull up or searck with the browser as it searches the url is barely visable. I wager you prob noticed.

Actually I didnt notice. I use Dolphin. I will look into this, thanks

Yes sir looks pretty but pretty much unreadable while it flashes to the site

Kinda figured this was gonna come back and bite me in the butt.

I knew while making the theme that the red to black gradient was going to give me a bit of trouble. The intention was just to have it for button press and select states. The problem is some of the apps change it to a white text while selected or pressed and some stay black. I really try to limit changing text colors because hexediting is a huge pain. The problem is trying to balance usability while still keeping the theme uniform. This was on the list of things for me to look into as the theme matures.

I guess I kind of figured it didnt matter too much because how long is a button pressed, half a second? Kind of felt the same with the select state. It will stay selected if you use the trackball to select it but how many people actually do that instead of just tapping the screen...

Honestly looks good as it is. Even if you can;t read whats in the address bar that shouldn't be a problem because obviously whatever it is loading is a page the user decided to go to and once the page loads it goes away so no big deal. Plus it only enhances the look of the theme.

I appreciate the info, keep it coming. I want to strive to make this theme as perfect as possible. I edited my original post with the known issues and added this.

I also removed the "don't post issues" statement as well. If you see something that can be improved please let me know.

The biggest thing I am going to work on next is making the notification icons more streamlined and crisper.

Know what you mean I have dabbled with hex editing here and there myself. As said not a big deal.
