:) I know there are lots of morphs and themes already, but....(and you could do morphs of those, but I prefer pushing apk´s ;))

Here my new smoked widgets.

Tested on CM7... / Nexus One

- Twitter 2.0 white text & gingerbread style statusbar notification icon
- CalendarWidget [CalendarProvider] with 3D text
- Facebook 151 with 3D text

Tested on CM6 / Nexus One

For different devices or Roms: better adb push apk´s and check right after each one how/if it works.
If it does not work, push orriginal apk. (´cause here people started flashing zip´s without Nandroid ;))

All working perfectly in LeoFroYo ROM except the CalendarProvider.apk, nor-matter how I push or set the permission for this, it just won't appear the widget.

The others smoked widgets is perfect nice. ;)

Edit: Small bugs in the Twitter (small) widget, the "t" logo is missing.

You wanna send me CalendarProvider.apk from LeoFroYo ?..will check that.

And "t" is missing, yes, I deleted cause it got cut half off, in ADW, when using more Columns/Rows.

Google search is in (ADW)Launcher(2).apk...so a morph is better for that.
And for each launcher you need a different morph....
I will wait till CM gets final to do that....

And you just adb push the apk´s...but you may try to install with an explorer or copy it, but check to set the same permissions. ( I did not try that ;))

Rori,

I love these, however, I've started using a new ROM and recently upgraded to Windows 7 and I've given up trying to get ADB to work.

Can I just pull the working APK off my phone, unpack these APK files, and overwrite the files in the original app with them? If not, how else can I get these to work?

I was using your black Twitter widget forever, but I really want this new smoked one (might switch back and forth between it and black, depending on which one I like more). Any help is greatly appreciated!

You have given up trying to get ADB to work?? :D...too bad!! ( it´s not that difficult;)
Copy with an explorer (set same permissions), reboot...

I was lucky to get Windows 7 to again recognize my Nexus One with USB mount.

Copy with an explorer (set same permissions), reboot...
Just copy your APK and paste it into the same directory? Last time I did that it showed the two of them next to each other. I'm willing to try again, though. So if I've got you right:

1. Match perms on the two APK's
2. Copy your APK and put it into /system/app
3. Reboot

Right?

I did what you said, but it didn't work =S Your file just overwrote what was there, completely, which broke it, I assume.

Twitter not even showing up in my list of applications, now, either. I'll have to reinstall it... which will put it in /data/app probably. Does it make a difference where it is?

EDIT: Moving it to /system/app and renaming it just broke it.

Grr.

Can you just make an update.zip that I can flash in recovery? hehe! I would if I knew how =P

EDIT: Installed Twitter again and moved it to /system/app and renamed it to Twitter.apk -- cleared cache/dalvik and rebooted, it's working now from /system/app -- now how do I go about getting your theme working with it? Last time I tried overwriting the apk it just broke it.

That´s a good question..
You tried: deinstall yours....

Code:
adb shell rm /system/app/Twitter.apk
search in data/dalvik-cache.. & data/data..if there´s anything to clear...then install smoked apk.

Success!

I feel like an idiot now.

Since my adb doesn't work, this is what I did (I should have done this from the beginning, I think I was making it harder than I needed to).

1. Removed every file on the phone (including cache) related to Twitter.
2. Put your Twitter.apk in /system/app and set perms
3. Rebooted

:)

Thanks for your guidance.
