Rori thanks for all of this really loving it, better than any theme (For me).

If people want to try an easier way to do this, try installing Root Explorer.

Check the permissions of the files you want to change in /system/app then delete them (to check the permissions just a long tap on the file should pop a list, select permissions). (make sure to mount as R/W, you can do this by tapping on the mount R/W button on the top of the screen)

Copy the files you downloaded from this post to the /system/app folder, match the permissions you noted earlier.

Reboot

(maybe if you post this in the OP would make it easier for people Rori)

Rori is it possible to request some widgets to be smoked ?
i agree with this method. its easier and is the one i use to install the widgets on my device.

Check the app name first in your device. Is it
1.) com.google.android.apps.updates.widget.apk , or
2.) com.google.android.apps.updates.widget-1.apk ??

Ok, I'm a n00b.

First time ever rooting and flashing a device, so I struggle with ADB but I'm trying to learn. So, I have the Facebook.apk downloaded, and I have ADB up on my commandprompt. How do I check my filename? Because using the command from the first post it says "no such file or direcory".

thanks for the help.

I have both those files. Should I rename a file? Rename your file to -1?

I replaced #1 ... didnt work...so guessing that i should replace #2. Do i even need #1?
