If you use MTP or PTP you may have problems with your phone.
USB is in System Settings- More- USB utilities, change to that first then connect your phone.

As indicated in the post version 2.2.3 and 2.2.4 are the same, so the download will say 2.2.3 but it is works for 2.2.4.

Yep, you can just unzip the files and get it from there.

Yeah that was the first thing I tried. The zip only contains a META-INF folder and a system folder, and none of their subfolders have any image elements in them. Do I have to extract them from one of the apks?

The APk's are zipped also,
you will go into them and look into the drawable-hdpi folders, most all the graphics are in those.

Ah, gotcha. What program can extract them? Enterprise edition of WinZip can't do it...
