It is a good idea ~~~~
Do you have a tested & stable undervolting list for GBXv12?

I'm using GL-Core V11 with 925 (Undervolted) it seems to be running fine,

but unfortunately it hasn't been updated so none of the updates which Tytung applied after early march are present ... :(

would be great if you could post an Unofficial R10 kernel undervolted to 925, so I can test it ...

regards.

I tried
- 1000mV on 998Mhz,blue screen
- 1100mV on 998Mhz, whole system hanged
- 1150mV on 998Mhz, sometimes app FC but the system will not crash
- 1200mV on 998Mhz, everything fine.

Reference from TyhooN, I set the mV as following:
245000: 850
384000: 875
422400: 900
460800: 925
499200: 950
537600: 975
576000: 1000
614400: 1025
652800: 1050
691200: 1075
729600: 1100
768000: 1100
806400: 1125
844800: 1150
883200: 1150
921600: 1175
960000: 1175
998400: 1200
1036800: 1200
1075200: 1225
1113600: 1225
1152000: 1250
1190400: 1275

Download: GBXv12_UNoffical_kernel_tytung_r10_v2.zip

You could change the mV by root explorer at /system/etc/init.d/12vddlevels. If there is any problem, you can install the Unoffical_v2 by CWR again.

Again, install this patch as your own risk. Every CPU quality is not the same. If your CPU burn, do not look for me :)

P.S. This is a testing version only. If you satisfied on the battery life, I do not suggest for installing r10_v2。If you have already installed r10_v2 and feel it makes your machine not stable enough, you could delete the file "/system/etc/init.d/12vddlevels" and the volting will back to original (1275Mhz on 998Mhz)

Thanks disco_hk, much appreciated ...

correct me if I am mistaken, but Under-Volting cannot fry your cpu ...

also the reason I went for Undervolting was because my battery gets very hot under moderate use, thought it might cool it down,

do you have any tips on this issue?

I'm having to slow the the CPU down to 806 mhz to prevent the battery from heating up so much (gets very warm under moderate gaming, wifi, HSDPA use) ...

regards.

I only played card and board game ..... maybe it is the reason I did not feel the battery heat ~~~~

Yes, I believe undervolting will not make the CPU burned as well. But I do not know what will happen if there is a typo in 12vddlevels. Anyway, writing caution is my usual practice :)

What is the meaning of "ot"?

Btw, any testing report of r10_v2? For my testing, it still not stable enough. 998Mhz on 1200, in average one day FC 2 times ~~~~~

I had a automatic reboot once, apart from that no other FC or problems

I'll wait for Pongster to release an update...

You can try to unzip the theme_name.zip in the PC by WinZip or WinRAR.
If it cannot be unzip with no error, the file is crashed and you could try another server to download.

Thanks, just tried what you suggested, it unzips fine on the pc with winrar and 7zip, also tried downloading from a different server and copying to the card using different methods in case it was getting corrupted on transfer but the same result.

Browsed to the zip on phone with astro, it was able to extract it ok on the sd card but when i click on it i get,

theme name.zip could not be loaded

Details
java.util.zipException: expected end of central directory signature

Not sure if that is normal behavior for zips in astro though.

Just a try .....
1. In PC, unzip the theme_name.zip.
2. Download & unzip the attachment and replacing "META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script"
3. Zip all again.
4. Copy the theme_name.zip to sdcard & install in CWM Recovery.

Or you can tell me which theme you want, I re-pack that theme for you.

Thanks for the file, unfortunately it didn't work, I didn't get any error this time but what I did get was

Installing update
Installation aborted

Thats all, no error.

Must be something to do with my phone or clockwork or something that it doesn't like, no one else appears to have had any probs from reading the thread so can't be anything to do with the zip itself. would your offer of repacking it make any difference? As mentioned I tried several dif themes downloaded from 3 dif servers.

Blue steel is the one I wanted but same error with all of the ones I tried.

stupid theme, had to reinstall v11 then v12 to get my phone working again. NOT using these themes again..... GRRR

So you didn't backup before installing as stated in the first post?
I'm going to go on and assume you prob didn't read most of it.

Maybe you show show OP a little respect for his hard work instead of implying it was his fault you screwed your phone up.

Disco, is there an easy way to remove the skinned dialler from 0.4 vivid? I'm no so keen and it's the only thing stopping me from installing.

unzip the theme package > delete phone.apk & contact.apk in "app" folder > zip again.
