On M9 you have to put ui.zip in TWRP/theme folder in INTERNAL storage for it to work.

The SD Card is the internal storage, "External SD Card" would be the added micro SD card.

I have 3.0.0-0 MultiROM TWRP on Nexus 6, tried the blue theme but of course cannot use any MultiROM feature, nor access the menu. Theme works great aside from that

additionally you´ll need to change background_color in line 177
and maybe text color right below

yeah, i bet... the theme i did is completely based on twrp stock theme with just altered colors...
so all extra functions are lost on multirom...

send me a link to the latest multirom img and i might have a look

I have a galaxy s4 mini at a resolution of 960x540 and no it thosen't scale correctly. everything becomes really small as if my display had become 1080p but at a much higher dpi ie. it got shrunk badly. Anyway to fix this? would love to use your red theme getting sick of blue

yeah, well if you wanna learn why i used 1200 landscape you´ll have to read back in this thread...
had a look in the multirom images and afaik the extra functions are built in the theme its using.
so i´m gonna pass on learning how to add them to stock theme for now as i dont even use multirom.

also i dont know why scaling seems to work fine for some users but not for your phone... weird...

Thanks to @DirkStorck for testing and screenshots.

As i´ve been told twrp will scale the images, so themes should work for any resolution

Just choose between portrait and landscape version, download your color of choice, rename the zip to ui.zip
and place it on your sdcard in TWRP/theme folder

I tried to manually change the resolution to 960x540 without changing resource quality but it only made it worse since everything just became really big. Maybe I have to set dpi manually?
I could also try and find multirom twrp 2.8.7 as the theme Base as it's laid out the same as 3.0.0 and not like the so called material theme
