[THEME PREVIEW WIP]

Hello,

Thougth I could share my new Ubuntu theme with ya'll.
This is a sweeterhome 2.0 theme.

Still have a lot to work on it, but it is my first theme after 2 years and this is only the first day.

For more info

http://myfirstsamsungs3.blogspot.com/2013/01/ubuntu-os-theme.html

Requirements/tech details:

I am running Android 4.1.1 with Nova Launcher
My device is not r00ted.
Theme launcher: Sweeterhome 2.0.

I am not so thrilled about developing this for Sweeterhome as the support is ** so if anybody can recommend me another launcher that has all the possibilities Sweeterhome has please inform me.
I want to focus on developing this theme for a stable/complex/full of options to tweak launcher.

Thanks in forward.

Regards,

Dizzy

No update on theme

Any updates on this? I would love to see the progress you've made or even test it out and provide some help if you need it.
Hi ima.monstaaa,

Thank you for your interest in this theme, but I can not finish it because there are no launchers that can provide functionability for this theme.
I have contacted some launcher developers and that didn't help with any progress.

Lighting Launcher would have been the very best option, but at this time it doesn't provide a option to export themes.
So that means you would get a package which you upload on your phone and then get all setup messed up.
I don't want to provide people with bad products so I will keep in touch with the developers and if I sense there is no future for it
I will pull it from the forum.

Sorry that I can't give you anything more at this time friend.

Regards,

I appreciate your feedback

Thank you all for your feedback I highly appreciate it.

I am also a person who doesn't like to put something out that is broken.

I promiss ya'll the moment I get the functionability from Lighting Launcher or Sweeterhome or other Launcher to complete the export of this theme. I will post it directly.

Thank you again.

Wish all you well.

Have you looked into TSF Shell? I've seen a lot of people doing some great work with that launcher.

Thanks for the input, I will look into it today.
I been away from Android for 2 years, so its not that easy for me to find the right tools with all the mass of apps out there.
I appreciate your feedback.

Wauw, I took a quick look at it and its sophisticated. Like it.
Very nice effects and setup.

Only the first thing I think about as a marketeer is, it costs 12,84 euro.
And it hasn't even reached 50.000 downloads.
The problem bout that is that it makes my audience very small, apex for example has over 1.000.000 downloads.
That is attractive.
Lets say my theme reaches 10.000 (devices) which I don't see happen, that is already a very big percentage out of the total 50.000 (devices).
For example on apex if my theme reaches 10.000 (devices) that is a smaller percentage than on tsf shell. There is much more crowd to build for
and it will be more likely to reach more crowd on a popular launcher.

What you think about that? Could you send me feedback please.

Dizzy

If you are able to get it going on Apex Launcher that would be the best strategy as far as marketing the app, I agree. I'm not aware of the full functionality of Apex, although I have used it frequently as it is the default launcher on a lot of custom ROMs these days, which would be another great reason to develop for Apex. TSF is very expensive for a launcher, but its functionality and customization is unparalleled which would make the development of this theme quite a bit easier given all the options you have available. I do not think TSF is a good solution for a marketable theme at all, mainly because of the cost. The bad part is I have yet to find another launcher that compares to it. I will keep my eye out for something that could be usable, as I am messing around with some Ubuntu themes as well, which is how I came across yours.
