im going to look into itThe black and blue versions look great. Thanks for your hard work.
Any chance of getting the "show pictures" hack incorporated so I dont have to click the little button all the time?

Sometimes I get quoted text in orange sometimes it comes in as purple as seen in the image below. I brought it up before but thought I got it wrong but knew I saw it happen.

how would one do that?
GraziJust installed clear/red, and all I can say is, MAN, YOU ROCK! I'm always looking for something to make my DInc redder & blacker, with a touch of class (hence my choice for transparency), and I'm diggin' this.
So thank you!!!!
That's strange, since that's how I uninstalled mine (via Manage Applications), but I'm on CM7, and that might make a difference. Assuming you're rooted, you can force uninstall any app using Titanium Backup.I had the stock Gmail application. I just downloaded the red/transparent Gmail apk that is on the first page of this thread. How do I go about uninstalling the stock Gmail application so I can install this red/transparent Gmail apk? When I go to manage applications the uninstall button is grayed out and it wont let me uninstall. when I go to the market place and locate the gmail application it only has an option to open the app or install updates. Thanks in advance.

I am rooted running Skyraider 4.2. It gives me only an option to uninstall updates in the app manager. I will try titanium to see if I can chuck norris the Gmail app and then install the red one. Thanks.TiBackup, RootExplorer, Uninstaller, etc. All available in the market.

Which is the font used ur phone?Transparent and Inverted Gmail.
i have decided to create a new thread for my Gmail mods as my market/apps thread is getting a bit bloated and confusing.
IF THIS HAS HELPED PLEASE HIT THANKS![]()
i went with inverting the interior of the app rather then transparent for pretty much the simple reason being i couldnt figure it out. this is done in raw-hdpi and i am still working on it. for example- in the stock app in raw-hdpi the text color for quoted emails is just written as purple. so the orange and cyan i typed in do not match my orange and cyan. also for those who say you have emails with white background and black text remember gmail doesnt have the power to theme incoming messages.the show qouted text background is set within gmail so that will be black. any message coming in with a themed background will not be changed. any input on theming the raw-hdpi file is welcome.

Just used Titanium to book out the stock Gmail app. Just installed the Red/transparent one. Looks like it is loading up fine. For some reason in my apps it shows that there are 2 of them though. Maybe it installed twice or something. I will try to delete one after it finishes syncing. Thanks for the helpTiBackup, RootExplorer, Uninstaller, etc. All available in the market.
